First off, I just want to say that while I was mainly looking forward to E3 for a Bungie announcement, and was thusly disappointed, I still love you guys, and appreciate all the effort and attention you give fans. Second, Luke I am just so enthralled all the time by your writing style. It always blows me away. So witty and sarcastic, like references to Blu-Ray, ah just wonderful. Oh, and I'm gonna be killed for this but IMHO Lukems >>>>> Frankie.
For the forum-goers here:
First: Do you really think Bungie wanted it this way? They wasted sooo much manpower on making this teaser or whatever it would have been, and it's all for naught. That's a waste of time = waste of money. Plus, you can just feel the disappointment all these guys have, and really think about how excited they must have been to show us something new that would have blown us away?
Second: How did you guys miss that there are 3 projects being worked on! That's amazing! And we already know there's some new IP, and something related to Halo, so we'll have the best of both worlds. I'm psyched, as should any Bungie fan. Plus, the poster clearly said Winter, so worst case scenario that's when we'll have new info, but my guess is some smaller project (hence the so close you can taste it or whatever comment), perhaps an XBLA game will be released this year? Don't worry Bungie is working their asses off for us. So thank them.
Third: You have freedom of speech I understand. You also have freedom of choice. You can choose whether or not to view an Update. If you think they're pointless, don't enjoy them and just wait for the big press releases.
Fourth (this is highly sarcastic) : I think there's a clear correlation at work amongst the posters. Those that enjoyed the Update, and are dissecting clues and such (and really they aren't that challenging) have higher IQs than the mass mob mentality of ugh i wantz infoz nooowwww!
Anyway, thanks Bungie for still kicking ass. I don't know why, but you're my favorite developer despite it all. Keep up the great work, and use your freedom to utilize your unsurpassed talents to make a killer innovative game. And Luke, write a killer story for me. I know you got in you. Thanks.
