With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

I'm pretty positive this hasn't been brought up before.

Really strange noises... You can hear them best in between the part where Master Chief kills 3 Grunts with a frag and the part where Sgt. Banks says his first words.

These noises are incredibly odd and intreguing (sorry if I spelled that wrong). They sound like low-pitched electrical tones... but arranged in a way that it sounds like some kind of unseen alien's voice... almost like battle orders or an encouragement speech (but its no Grunt, Jackal, or Elite... I don't think it'd be a Brute or Hunter, either)... well, I guess I can't exactly say that, since who knows what an alien battle order or encouragement speech would sound like.

But I have this unshakeable feeling that its a Prophet's voice (call me crazy... I've never heard the Prophets before). As if a recording of a Prophet's speech was being played through some Covenant radio or loudspeaker to spur on their forces.

This is merely a feeling that I have. I'm definitely not saying I'm right. No one except Bungie knows what the hell these noises are.

Please don't respond until you've checked it out yourself... I'd like to know what others think of the noises once they've heard them (unless they do know what I'm talking about).

Or maybe its just the recording of the Demo that I have (I have the one that came with the Halo soundtrack.... maybe its just my disk thats damaged and it makes noises through the speaker of my TV?)

I know exactly what your talking about, some people say its a covenant loud speaker, but that sounds kind of weird

Oh. I didn't know that this has been speculated upon before (I haven't seen it since the demo was shown.... I must've missed something). Sorry about that.

Its good to know that you know what I'm talking about, however... I'm glad I didn't get a "wtf are you talking about" response.

Sounds perfectly feasible to me. The Germans researched that in WWII.

(J/K) I have no idea, but knowing the Germans, they probably did.

I said don't reply until you check it... No offense, of course, but posting that you're going to check it doesn't provide any useful information.

It's also heard before that. I'm pretty sure I hear it, but it sounds like a distorted human voice. I'm sorry to say, but I don't think it's a Prophet.

Its just a weird feeling I had... but I don't think its Human. If its not alien then its probably just some sort of electrical noise generated from some machine.

I'm really surprised I haven't seen anyone post about this before...

Guess thats I call myself blind.
