Subject: Questions about Halo 2

I'm planning on buying Halo 2 because I keep hearing about how great a game it is. I would like to ask the Halo 2 community a few questions about the online expierience so I can be more sure about buying Halo 2.

-How bad is the lag that hear happens in Halo 2?
-How good is the gameplay compared to Halo 1 & 3?
-What are the search times like when looking for a game?
-What is the ranking system like?
-How bad is the trash talking on rank?
- Finally, are the DLC maps free?

-The lag is different for everyone, for me it's never really that bad.
-The game play is a matter of opinion, but I like it. Compared to Halo 1 it is more realistic, to Halo 3 it is more scaled down.
-When looking for a game I find it doesn't take very long at all.
-I'm not sure but I think the ranking system is similar to Halo 3, goes up after so amny wins. Besides that I can't help you.
-I'm not really sure, I mute them
-All DLC is free for Halo 2

Hope I could help a little.

Trailer Park Boys ~ One of the best Canadian made comedies ever.

The lag is minimal in Halo 2. The gameplay is faster paced than in Halo 1, but slower when compared to Halo 3. Search times can be slow because most of the Halo2 population went to Halo3. Trash talking can be excessive at times. Usually it doesn't happen that often, and when it does, you can easily mute players. All of the Halo 2 DLC is free.

I would recommend purchasing Halo3 if you have an Xbox 360. There's a much larger online population and support from the developer. Bungie has somewhat given up on Halo2 and is now focused on Halo3.

Gameplay is okay. Lots of glitches to have fun with
Search time is ok
Ranking is based on exp and is in numbers
From my experiance not bad. No one cares about rank much

Campiagn Kill Count :31,745. And growing.

The Revisionaries- One of the greatest screenshot groups on B.net. With 250 members and growing.

- It's not too bad. Better than Halo 3, IMO.
- I like the gameplay better. The controls are different than Halo 3 though. And it's much faster paced than Halo 3, IMO, and it's about the same as the first game. Maybe a little slower.
- They're ok, but the only ranked playlists you can count on playing is Team Slayer and Team Snipers. In most others you can't find games easily at all. Or at least I can't.
- SOO much better than Halo 3. You move up slower, but you don't get level locked like in Halo 3. Getting a 50 actually means something, and it's really something to brag about.
- Not too bad, same as any other game really. Not as bad as Halo 3 though.
- Yes, all DLC is free now.

Keep in mind that the graphics are obviously worse, and there are things you'll probably say wow, this is ghey about. Like the fact your freinds can't read messages you send to them unless they are also playing Halo 2. Everything you want them to see will have to be sent in the Dashboard. Except game invites, those still go through. But all messages will have to say "You must be playing Halo 2 to read this message."

The campaign is longer, and harder, but I think you'll like it. And Wraiths actually move fast, which I like a lot. You can't do online co-op campaign, BTW. Two people on the same system is as good as it gets, like most other original Xbox games.

And it's hard to splatter people in Halo 2 online. I don't know why, it just is. But usually people just kinda slide past the vehicle unless you really get a perfect hit on them.

Anyway, have fun with it! I hope you like it. The levels are more fluent for gameplay, and camping isn't much of a problem at all.

I really don't know where you got the idea that Halo 3 is faster than Halo 2. Halo runs so much smoother and faster than Halo 3, H3 seems unorganized, and H2 is basically like a playable action movie.
