they already do plenty damage, but take out the shot one kill thing. Hunters should inspire fear. (dont take out the orange spot, just its damage amplifier)

Hunters should be more difficult. They are supposed to be really tough creatures but everyone takes advantage of their weakness. Average Hunters should be make a little more tougher so that they can take more pain.
But there should be a special ops hunter that has no weakspot in addition to the normal ones

Even though they do a hell of a lot of damage, they should be made to be more maneuverable when charging. I mean, they do have huge and heavy armor, it's just that you can easily dodge out of the way. So I vote for the option of being made a lot harder.

if it could help i think that making it change direction on the second melee rush... cause in halo it hit two times in the same direction... sometimes going too deep in the walls... when they strike they lose... it's simple... they are too weak in melee combats... i think that a melee attack in two times which can shift rush's direction on the second time it's a good solution because killing two hunters in melee combat is too funny... i want pain :)

I do believe that Huunters are supposed to be more fearsome than they really are. The first time I played against one I was so taken abake by a huge beast shooting death balls and charging at me that I couldn't aim well at it's weak spot. Now I know how easy they really are. They shoul dbe kept just as strong, or have their spines flail out, like in the books, if you side step them. Maybe have them swing their guun at you rather than their shield. [random] Man it would be cool if you should shoot the fuel rods to make them explode on their arms. Snipe them frm a distance and *BAM* Bye bye arm... Hehehe...[/random]

The orange weakness should remain but it should be MUCH harder to get to, they should be a lot more maneuverable like elites. When an elite notices you, you can almost never see his back.

I love to have more challenge when battling a hunter 'cuz now they are so stupid that I just play with them on the Silent Cartographer, when they try to hit me I just dodge and let them fall down off the platform. It's really cool 'cuz they just try to sidestep up again wich looks extremely stupid.

i thank they should make a blessed hunter{one of the black ones} where there is no weak spot.in halo 2 i thank that the brutes take care of the hunters weak spots! they are most likely strong where the hunters are weak...i hope

I think, instead of charging in shoulder first, they should do a sideways swipe. Because it's too slow, big and easy to avoide in the original halo. Does anyone know if they changed it for PC???

I think that the hunters should keep the week spot just have armor like the brutes that you can shoot of with a few well placed shots.

what if in halo 2 hunter got a new armour also with a plate covering there backside and orange spots and they had compresion like devices so when ever they meeled they sort of springed at you the only way to kill them would be either a rocket or just plain gunning into him

I don't know if you knwo this but the brutes don't have that much armor. They are mostly just pure, thick skin and muscle.

They should make them a lot harder, and add like red hunters, gold hunters and black hunters, because in halo 1, hunters were the only ones to only have one rank

They should be super hard to kill so u fear them when they come.
Also 1 rocket should not kill them more like 10

no ten would be unreasonable...u cant even carry ten!

but i think that the orange flesh should stay, but it would be a lot harder to get to...example.. he charges you, and you sidestep, in the same fluid motion he brings his shield around his back and cracks your neck in half

Yeah i'd love some more ruthless melee moves, like some quick spinning backlashes, even using the gun to melee would be cool.. I'd like to see a few tougher high rank hunters, that would be great. Two gold or black hunters that rarely miss.. Eep! Imagine hunters with armour and energy shields. Theres a tough enemy.

Hunters are really hard, they do so well against the flood, sentinels and marines, they just suck against us players.

Did you guys ever find out that if a hunter tries to melee you and you stand completly still, the first melee attack wont hit you? I always found that useful if there 2 hunters so I dident get shot it the back when i was killing one. Because when it misses the orange spot in the front of them is exposed. Perfect place for a pistol bullet. So yes, they should be A LOT tougher.
