The planetary Defense Platforms turn to fire on the advancing attack. Their small machine guns fire at a rate of 10000 rounds per minute, at a force more than 100X that of an earth .50 Cal. Their large cannons charge their three different types of ammunition, firing only one at a time to prevent borg adaptation.

The boarding crew loss provided the boneyard Reanimation facility with enough dark energy to form 23 Skeleton Soldiers. They cannot be assimilated. They are already dead, and when blown to pieces, reclaim dark energy to rebuild. They are transported only one at a time to the borg ships.

To Rebel Aliens, How is Dark Matter gained?

Isn't it that whenever one of your unit dies, then Dark Matter is gained. If the Borg assimilated them, they haven't quite died yet, so the Dark Matter that would have been gained is at the moment, non-existent

Everytime living flesh itself dies, it gives off dark energy, a whole death gives off massive amounts. Mind loss included gives off dark energy, it is given off from organs dying, and in no way affects the living.

Borg assimilation doesn't kill flesh. It appears to die, but in actuality, it becomes pale because it's sustaining nutrients is changed from organic nutrients and oxygen (what makes it red) to synthetic Borg nutrients (what makes it pale)

In the whole process, no flesh is loss, they are simply re-wired (figuratively) or built over. So Dark Matter, according to your definition is still non-existent at this point

M I N D L O S S also does it, like I said. No borg has a mind of its own anymore.

oh yes, and just as a note for pyroshark, Valkalry spiders are barbaric, and don't have any knowledge of technology, neither do Grunts, as being the dumb henchmen, and Brown Goblins only have knowledge of the 2 ships they fly, Planetary Assault Fighters and Reconstruction Drone Ships.

The Borg ships shrug off the projectile attacks with minimal loss; two Spheres and a Cube suffer from minor hull breaches.

The primary task force continues forward into the heart of the enemy ranks, launching immensely destructive volleys of photon torpedoes at vessels still operational by Rebel Aliens. The vessels assimilated by this task force (1 Heavy Attack Galley, 5 Planetary Assault Fighters) will be fully converted in 1 turn.

The secondary task force continues to harass the Planetary Defence Carrier formation, neutralising shields along the enemy formation and transporting boarding parties across to damaged enemy vessels. These vessels will be ready in 2 turns.

Inside the boarded Borg craft, intruders have been detected. Due to a lack of biosigns they are difficult to track, but sightings through Drones help in isolating several of the interlopers. They are isolated by force shielding and are systematically disintegrated. Several more intruders, however, remain elusive across an unknown number of Borg ships.
Without warning, one Cube and one Sphere self-destruct - the result of sabotage.

the wreckage of the ship we found has not yet yielded any secrets, but our technicians tell me it is like nothing they have even seen before. It seems to be made out of an unknown alloy, thinner then a human paper, but stronger then the hulls on even our ships. this on its own is enough to warrant sending the ship to our forges on Sontar Major, but there is more. even now, our technicians can barely damage it.

the ship's energy shields seem to still be functioning, despite the amount of damage to it, and cover even the hole punched through its wing by what seems to be a superior weaponry, stronger then any we have previously seen. if we can somehow disable these and find the shield generator inside the ship, we may well have some of the strongest shields in this entire galaxy.

Earlier today, our slipspace probes reported another anomaly. from the data they have sent back, it appears to be the same dark ship we previously saw, but instead of approaching us is moving further into the galaxy...towards the planet our scouts report as the home of the Hanchex. this time it was accompanied by a much larger force - the shadowy figure from last time is now four, and there are a myriad of differently-sized ships in its wake.


it may be a good time for us to keep away from this planet, and observe with cloaked scout vehicles what happens.

The Planetary Defense Platforms change their fire to destroy the assimilating ships before the borg can get the information on more worlds and technology.
Planetary Defense Carriers self destruct to prevent technology from getting into borg hands

The Refractor Shield Ship returns, and uses a different tactic, using small shields, it bounces back the borg shots back onto their own fleet by creating an inverted shield around single cubes. 10 Planetary Defense Carriers flee, target destination encrypted and unknown to Borg.

Reconstruction Drone Ships launch a single drone with the paradoxical diagram on it and send it into the borg network.
