I found it quite intresting and there are some new tidbits I will highlight some of them. At first they gloat about how they played Halo 2 and how it's not exactly revolutionary but a more and better Halo and they dont mind. Then they start a We Know article of confirmed info I picked a few of the intresting pointos out of their. The first point talks about how Halo 2 will support atleast 16 players including combinations of two teams of eight, four teams of four or even eight teams of two and they stress that there not joking about eight teams and how Bungie is working on making all the gametypes work with any combo of teams. The second point I noticed was that when they talk about MP they said the characters jump too high and it felt floaty at first. Then they went on to descripe how you can play Elites in the MP and they said they asked three diffrent Bungie employees if there where diffrences between the Spartans and the Elites and got three replies. But the most intresting bit of info is that when they asked about the elites they got a hint about get this SP playing as a Elite! When they asked for more details all they got was "Bungie has a lot of tricks up it's sleeve for Halo 2". At first i was appaled by the idea of playing a Elite but then I realized something if there are diffrences between a Elite and a Spartan in MP it would be nice to be familar with a Elite. What are your thoughts?

I would NEVER play as an Elite in SP. Think about it. There are three options. Either you fight from the Covenant side, but the story has the same ending as if you were a Spartan, meaning you, the covenant, probably loose. Or, u destroy the human race... which i dont intend to do in the near future. The final option, which gets me really intrested, and is very likely, could bring on a Halo 3. It wouldn't make sense that you destroy the human race, and it wouldnt make sense for bungie to let you play and then die. But if the story doesnt end at Halo 2, you could kill some humans, while some of the covenant get killed... and the story goes on. Although the idea of it is cool.

Well apparently EMG did realize or remember that they were playing an early build of the game and was not final by any means. And in Halo you jumped really high and it feels like floating because of the height of the jump, and the genetically engineered MCs abilities.

As far as the not revolutionary, not it probably won't be totally revolutionary but there will defiently be some stuff in there that no game to date and no game to date of the release will have.

That would be cool to play some SP with an elite, but it would have to be different missions than the main campain that MC plays.

At 1up (there the same as EGM) they asked about the jumping and Bungie told them it was part of the new armor.

Can you elaborate or quote what they said about the 3 differences and or the hinting at the elites in SP. Quotes would be better.

Okay this is straight from the article. " If Covenant players will have diffrent physical characteristics (jumping height, speed etc.) than Spartans. We asked three different people working on the game-and got three totally different responses. Guess we'll have to wait and see. But we did get a hint that the Covenant may be playable in the single-player campaign mode! When we pushed for more details, one product manager would only smile and say, "Bungie has alot of tricks up it's sleeve for Halo 2."

Also last year's EGM article they talk about how you may be able to use a Plasma Sword which was eventually confirmed to be true so EGM has a good track record.

I think it sounds like EGM is just trying to get people to buy their mag or stir up bungie fans.

I've read that article; most of the interesting stuff is speculation, and the rest is the stuff we knew about a month ago during e3.

But as I said EGM has been pretty good about "speculation" being truthful

thats what bungie always says. For instance(hypothetical question) "So i heard that the new pistol shoots fairies and rays of sunshine, is it true?
Bungie's response- "we'll just have to wait and see."

Yah, I guess your right about that, but a elite campaign... that sounds really weird.

Also EGM had that Halo 2 cover story a LONG time ago, and they knew that elites would be playable in multiplayer. They had a pixelated version of what they thought it would be like.

Did yall ever play Perfect Dark, which had Co-op AND Counter-Op? Counter-Op being where one person (maybe Chief) tries to finish a level, while another (presumably Elites or other Covenant) try to stop him? If the Counter-Op dies he just respawns until there are no more enemies for him to have, and if he respawns too ar away he can take a suicide pill to get closer to the action.

Best N64 game made.

If you can play as an Elite, and you die in the end, I would be very happy with Bungie. Why, you might ask? Because it would be the first game ever in which you actually lose in the campaign. Trust me, I would actually like to see that. At least it would be unexpected. Every game ends almost in the exact same way, and you almost always know basically what's going to happen. You go and fight the enemy and you kill them all and destroy something/kill a "boss" and then the game ends and you march away victoriously.
