If I was a biking man, I'd love it to, the bike that is.

Um.. I haven't played much in a while but I run 30-40 miles a week, hit the gym 4-5 times a week, pick up a game of bball once in a blue moon. I mean really blue moon.

In highschool, I played sports for only 2 years (long story). But, while I did I was on JV bball as a frosh, football (captian/linebacker, etc), and played baseball. My fortay was kind of baseball.

On the side, I usually pick up self-defense stuff when I have time to practice it. Nothing really orgainzed. Just me finding another way to work out.

Um.. That's about it I guess, I'll play just about anything given the chance.

Nah, but I kinda keep my head tuned to a little bit of every sport. I got a friend who's in to dirt biking a lot though

Me? I'm just a basketball player; no expensive equipment required :)

I used to play baseball when I was really young, but I quit cause I sucked at it.
The only sport I ever do is when I ride my bike to Wal-mart to look at the new issue of MAD magazine.
Karate? Meh, I need no fighter training. My main defense is staying out of trouble in the first place.

Yes, Basket Ball is definatly a cheaper sport.
Last Month went to Opening day for Downhilling in Big Bear, fourth run down, major endo, tacoed the front rim, and just dropped $180.00 for newer, wider, stronger rims. I am starting to outgrow that bike in my downhilling skills. I just can't afford to but a true downhill big hit bike.

About dirtbikes, I used to be into that when I was a teenager, check out my dirtbike page.

Nice page

Wasn't it hard to give up the sport though? With me, it'd be impossible to just drop basketball; it's my life. Everything relating to it is equally important too, like lifting and running, so it's not like I could just stop playing

It was the hardest thing I ever gave up. I needed the money to buy a new car, I had just got a new job and was making a big move to a more expensive area. I kept my gear thinking I would be able to buy another one later, then a friend got me into mountainbiking, so I sold all my gear, and bought mountain biking gear. One day when I am indepentantly weathly I wil buy another Dirt Bike.

I started on a Quad, i had a 87' Suzuki LT250, the thing was fast, but not a strong outta the box as a dirtbike, Quads are just not designed to go flying through the air. I kept breaking stuff on it.

Maybe quads back in the 80s and early 90s werent good jumpers but the ones now are just as good as the dirtbikes most racing quads now only weigh between 350-500 pounds

yeah, well i rode in the early 90's...lol

to get your quad to be a good jumper you had to put an entire aftermarket front end on the thing. A arms, brackets, shocks... etc. I can see that technology would fix alot of that outta the box, but I am a two wheeler for life now, heck what am I saying, I wish I still had a bike....!

btw>350 lbs is still very heavy compared to any bike.
Example:
04' RM250 Dry Weight: 96kg (212 lbs.)

I am not against Quads, but I now prefer bikes...
