Its hard not to go for a game that started one of the most successful trilogy in the history of video games...plus its still one of the best games ever made for the box

That depends. Do you already own a copy? Have you played it before? Can't you get it somewhere else cheaper?

Halo: CE is the best one by far. What makes it good to me is that it conveys the story soooo much better than the latest 2. Specially the Guilty Spark level.

Having just played it for the first time in months on my new 360, I'm disappointed. If you have a gaming PC, get it for that instead. Lots of new glitches on the 360 version cuzza the updates. Weapons in corners won't stop making noise, Popcorn floats in miad-air after dying, etc.

Is that just campaign? I didn't have too much trouble in multiplayer, other than some slow down from time to time. We played system link on 360s a couple weeks ago, and for the most part, it was amazing.

Yes, but I recommend you buy the game at a retail store. And if you do, download XBC and knock yourself out.

Bungie is the best.

Simple as that.

I thought that happened anyways.. not just because of updates, it happens on an non-updated version on the original xbox, i played it since 2002 and i did download it off the marketplace this time so i don't have to use a disc, it works great, Halo 2 destroys your graphics card alot, its why i had a 1 red light on my x360. TIP: If you see shadows of previous levels or an outline of something at the top or covering the screen while playing Halo 2, stop playing Halo2. Don't leave the Halo 2 disc in your disc drive or/and have your x360 set to boot up a disc rather than the dashboard, ALWAYS BOOT TO DASHBOARD (its ok to boot game disc for Xbox 360 games, even Halo3 but avoid it for Halo2). (These tips are for xbox 360 users)!

It's Campaign. And when I played before, I never had it happen, even once.

somewhere in the heavens...they are waiting. I love the Marathon Trilogy.
Halo CE will always be the best game in the Halo franchise. What a perfect game.

Absolutely, but your BEST option is to go to Gamestop and buy it used for only a few bucks. Then you'll have the original physical disc.

I think there's a difference between: playing halo1 first, and then playing the other halos after it...
AND
playing halo3 first, and then halo1.

In the first case, if you go back to halo1, you'll enjoy it much better. However if you're used to halo3's options, I think you may miss those in H1.

Either way, halo1 was a milestone for console FPS games.

Definitely buy it for PC. There's still at least a couple thousand people playing it at any given moment, and Custom Edition lets you play user-created content that beats the hell out of Forge.
