hello, i have a bit of problem in halo 1. basically it's something that's not too bad but if i can fix it i would love to, i'm getting jerky animations as if frames are being skipped in the game, things such as meleeing, reloading, walking around with the gun bobbing, enemies and doors do it too. i'm getting 60 fps at max settings so i don't really know what the problem is.
my specs
c2d e6600
8800gts 320mb
2 gigs of ram

Halo doesn't like dual cores so try turning one off. Also I believe the new Nvidia drivers don't fully support Halo so try a different one.

This is the first time i have seen this happening on an intel dual core. I wonder whats up.

Do you have your framerate set to something else besides locked at 30 FPS? I do believe Halo PC can render everything at a higher framerate, if you have a good card, but the first-person animations get really messed up. I think it looks that way from the disparity of the framerate for rendering the geometry and such, and the first person animations being locked at 30.

I could play Halo PC with a much higher setting because my graphics card raypez the crap out of it. But I have to leave it locked at 30 FPS for consistency =\

EDIT: If you change it to 30 FPS, it should be fine. But like I said, at the cost of a much nicer framerate =[

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I can't aim when its set to 30 fps. The reticle is so hard to follow when I move it around a lot at 30 fps. Feels jumpy.

It doesn't like AMD X2 athlons specifically, is why we're confused about this intel dual core. You shouldn't have any problems, but if you do, you can always just turn off 3 cores. Halo isn't that processor intensive.

My nividia duo core epicly fail to run good bit rates and start to hang and lag atfer 15 minutes of play. So under the drivers options, i droped a core and gained abit of stability. Still not the best but will help you alot.

Nvidia graphics card with Dule-core processor's. Seems to work better with one turned off , but still the graphics have to be low spec

Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphors have two parts : form and interpretation; of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom being the briocoleus, the mason.
