I've never played halo2 on live before, so i thought "what the hell ill give it a shot"but when i tried to play,(on my 360) it said something like "we can't connect" and "would you like to go to the trouble shooter?". So when i go to the troubleshooter EVERYTHING is working fine, I can't even download the new maps B/c it won't connect! Has anyone ever had this problem before?if so, could you help me?

Sounds like it may be an IP Address problem for your 360.

Page over to System on your 360 and click Network Settings and then click Edit Settings. At the top it should read Automatic followed by a list of numbers.

While watching that page, unplug your modem and wait 20 seconds, then plug it back in and wait 2 minutes. Do the same with your router (assuming you have one). Then reboot your computer (fully) and let us know what transpired.

Some routers have a built-in firewall so you may have to call the router company or just reinstall the router.

You can plug the 360 directly into into the modem to see if you can connect that way (last resort).

Campiagn Kill Count :31,745. And growing.

The Revisionaries- One of the greatest screenshot groups on B.net. With 250 members and growing.

Do you have family settings on?

If you do, go into your family settings. I bet that playing original Xbox games online is disabled. I had the same problem. Just change it from disabled to enabled.

It's not too hard to find, just go to the page farthest to the right on your Xbox 360 dashboard. Then you will see a number of options, and it should see around there somewhere, under family settings, or security, or parental control, or something like that. You'll find it eventually.

If H3 works, you are connected. That threw me off. Not able to connect is one thing and not being able to go online (only in H2) is another.

Do go (as snoozy said) to the System - Family Settings - Console Controls - Access To Xbox Live page and make sure Allowed is active. If it is currently on Blocked your problem will be solved.

On the same menu as Access To Xbox Live click Game Ratings and make sure it says Allow All Games.

Well, don't give up, you haven't tried everything.

What OS are you running?

Have you tried another H2 disc?

Have you gotten as far as downloading the maps yet?

Have you called your modem supplier or your ISP? They can walk you through this while you 360 is hooked up and your H2 disc is in.

To answer your questions...

1.Whats an OS?

2. No, i don't have the money right know (only 12 years(I'm not immature))

3. I can't because it disconnects me whenever I even play halo 2. So as far as I know i'm not even connected.( I.E. It signs me into live on the dashboard, and when i stop playing it signs me in again).

4. No i haven't called them.
