I knew this a while ago, but just never bothered to post this, but...
In the Halo 2 realtime demo, has anyone else noticed the marines use a flashbang? in the area where MC transitions from the place where he uses the mounted machine gun to the place with the Jackals in a V formation. It's a small are and MC looks around the corner, and there's like four grunts and a couple jackals, and MC stays covered as Marines come and one throws a grenade like thing, after it explodes, no covie are dead from it, but they cover their eyes and walk around blindly. If that doesn't spell flashbang I don't know what does.

so then how does that explain them grabing their eyes and walking around waiting for MC to shoot them.

they do say frag and clear, but I just watched the segment a couple of times (~4.21 on the time clock) and they do react as though it's a flash bang, or maybe they are just in pain from the shrapnel.

Seeing as how light supposedly plays a larger role in Halo 2, I wouldn't be suprised to see flashbangs. So, what's the covie counterpart? Darkbangs that suck up light? :P
