Achronos's avatar was created quite a while ago as the picture for a news story titled "Its ALIVE!!!" or something like that for a site overhaul. I'm pretty sure it looks relatively like him, the only thing unrealistic are the glasses, it's never sunny in Washington.

I personally have always liked stosh's avatar. It's very accurate to what he looks like.

Yeah, I look very similar to that, and I do even have sunglasses like that, although I don't wear them much.

It looks like the head has been severed from the neck and is ready to slide right off.

I get at least 2-3 members a week asking me where I got the picture of a pelican pilot.

*sigh*

It's the downside of being "old-school" (or just plain "old"). Though I bet that Shishka's is referred to as "The Terminator" more than mine is pegged as a pilot. If anyone knows what his is, they would know mine too. Especially since they were both created by the same artist.

When I was creating my avatar, I didn't know what the other mods had. The first one I created was coincidentally identical to Shishka's. My next attempt was foiled because Maka beat me to it. I'm happy with what I ended up with though.

Could we pick Evil Otto? His has action in it. But he's not a mod, so I guess he doesn't really count.

I would suggest that all moderator avatars actualy say "moderator" to avoid confusion. I know some do, but not all.

Fairly soon, moderator and Bungie posts will stand out a LOT more than they currently do, and there will be no mistaking them. It should help significantly with this issue, and will negate the need for a revision of some of the images.

It's not a bad idea, and has been discussed, but it can really cause huge confusion in the 7th Column however.

I'm hoping that "Forum Ninja" and "Master Forum Ninja" under our member name works enough. Especially since the addition of the Halo 2 emblems to the mix.

Well the only problem with that is that for someone new to the forum the "forum ninja" thing could be misread as some kind of forum rank, like other forums have. It also doesn't quite stand out as much as one might think. What seems obvious to one person may seem quite hidden to another. Still, it is good that you are considering all the options.

Speaking of avatars, does anybody know when the Se7enth Column Theme Builders' custom avatars will be enabled? As silly as it seems, I've been looking forward to mine being put up for quite a some time now; I've just never found a polite space to ask about it without seeming like a whiney arsed overly demanding git.

Sketch is overseas at this time (at least that's the cover story)

Hehe, overseas, between the sheets and below the belt. :D

I sure hope that it's spray paint!

Are you hoping to ghetoise Bungie.net with your mad graffitti skillz by any chance? Personally I think you'd be more amused with a "rock paper scissor" option below "unleash ninjas"; thus the targetted lesser miscreant gets a fair chance of keeping his account intact so long as he manages to counter your own choice of weapon. Who said moderating can't be fun and games?

Utlimate Bizzle Nizzle: there's the new name now all we need is a video of frankies 'Ph4t' break dancing skills, as well as a bit of Marty MC....yep then all of the spammers language would seem normal. Of course the mods would need to change there names:

Recon 54 = Rizzle 5 Fizzle
Goweb = Go wizzle
Sigma = -Blam- to da -blamedy- balm-
Archonos = Big pappa smurf
Shiska = Sisk MC
Frankie = Frunk

I'm sure you guys wouln't have a problem with this?
