It makes sence you need two hands to reload. Then how do you reload durring duelwield? Doesnt seem possible unless you drop a gun and do one at a time.

In the e3 2004 demos it looked like he just put the gun down (and off the screen) for a second or two and it came back up fully loaded.

I'm pretty sure this is one of those things that they need the next few months to work on. I'm sure they can come up with some kind of animation, but your question could be taken another way... How do you reload while dual wielding if the "X" button reloads? How will it know which gun to reload, or will he just reload when each gun is out of ammo?

At what point was that? You only saw him relad the Battle Rifle and the Rocket Launcher...he simply dropped the Needler and the Plasma Sword. I have wondered about this also. Maybe you drop the weapon you duel-weild, then reload the first weapon...although this would make it impossible to reload the second... Or maybe you holster the second weapon, reload the first like normal, holster it, reload the second, then pull both back out...

I don't think he was talking about that e3 video. There are more that do show him duel wielding where he just puts one of his weapons down and it comes back up reloaded.

That page has the video he is talking about... not sure which one though.

If you've seen any of the bootlegged videos, you've seen the MC reload the SMG while holding a needler. It's already been said, but MC drops his right hand and takes a few moments to reload it. The needler seems to just reload itself. I'm guessing it's one of those things that they're still fiddling with to get it right. What is interesting and pertinent is that the SMG is reloaded about 100x quicker when MC is only wielding it and not dual wielding another weapon. So, besides the disadvantage of not throwing grenades while dual wielding you'll be left nearly helpless if you are caught in a reload.

yeah, i agree with that. disadvantage of not only being helpless, but having a longer reload (since u need to reload 2 weapons). ur not completly helpless, though. u could always switch to ur secondary weapon

the SMG has a longer reload. i think he lowers it to drop the clip and snag one from his suit...all in one hand... like laura croft or something cool.

but some dual weildable weapons dont suffer from this additional drawback-the plasma rifle- it overheats. and i bet the needler can reload in one hand easily, with no extra animation. but they are still probably working on the animations....
