Hi - I would just like to ask that an Online Co-op mode for Halo 2 still be considered. I have not heard any news on this front in quite some time so I am starting to get the feeling that this feature will once again miss the cut. Personally I would play an Online Co-op mode more than I would Deathmatch. Anyway, I know if you guys have the time and the ability to put in this feature you probably will, but I just wanted to let you know that I, and many others out there I believe, would really love online co-op. It obviously must be possible from a technological standpoint since one of Halo 2's main competitors this fall (Doom 3) is going to have the feature implemented. I just hope that time constraints don't force it to get cut from the drawing boards - just my 2 cents ;)

Thank You

Patience, Grasshopper.
Bungie has many surprises in store for us, and that feature may yet be one of them.
Meanwhile, LAN while you can, split-screen your friends, race a warthog around Blood Gulch under the full noonday sun!

And maybe try emailing the Webmaster with your suggestions. It'll prevent people from flaming you here. Not that anyone would....

Errmm...people have begged for co-op online constantly and its a difficult thing to implement. Its feasible on the same Xbox because there is no uploading involved but system link and online co-op is a whole different story altogether. With a game like Halo there are huge amounts of upload and transfers which can lag the game massively. AI, enemies positionings, gunfire, explosions, destructible environments, corpses, vehicles etc. are just a few examples of what will be transferred between the xboxes at the same time. Shocking amounts of data...

Thats one of the reasons co-op wasnt possible over system link in Halo1. If bungie try this and it ends up poor they wont put it in. So I wanted to say this so that if its missing from Halo2 you won't throw a tantrum and realise bungie tried their best.

Its not that hard. there has been many games that have done it......well i only remember Ghost recon but it worked fine. Im positive they have it, they mentioned it i think in one of the updates, but dont qoute me on that, i just think i saw it. Even if they didnt though i still think it will be in the game.

I'm sure that they could pull it off. I think they should even get more players on co-op at one time. Like Brute Force, I think they should have 4 player co-op. I basically just think this because my friends love to play co-op with me and others, but since it's only 2 players, we have to take turns. Maybe have an automatically adjusted difficutly with more players so it's not so easy, but I think that would be awesome to have, four player Xbox Live co-op mode. I'd play it.

Ghost recon is no where near as complex as Halo 2. Watch the E3 2003 trailer and then go play ghost recon and you'll see what I mean.......

I understand it would be difficult to implement, but Online Co-op would be a dream come true!
