What is the deal with Sgt. Johnson? He dies alot in halo, but always comes back to life. The flood were said to kill him along with everyone else by that crazed soldier you meet in "343 the guilty spark". Then you see him hugging the elite in the cutscene when you beat the game. Then when you escape the halo cortana says that only you and the echoes a small handful of survivors made it out, leaving a chance Johnson could have lived. As you may have noticed the same guy and voice is in the pelican of the E-3 demo so you would think he lived, but that is hard to believe since all the odds he has faced and times you thought he had been dead. The flood cells in his bloodstream are supposdly dead, so is he some kind of mutant? A flood-human genetic cross taking attributes from both races. I want to no any ideas you have about Sgt. Johnson.

sergeant Johnson has quite a main part, as the leader of the marines! He cannot die, well he can, but i mean that 'he cannot die' as in plz dont let him die, he has supposedly died, as u have rightly pionted out, but he comes back, which proves my piont that he has a important part in the story, maybe turning into flood, making Earth a Flood Planet, or maybe just Leading the Marines, he may be the only sirvivor of the UNSC appart from the Spartans, these are all reasonable reasons for him 'coming back from the dead', i hope that my theory is right, and that he does have a main part to play, anyway, we will just have to wait and c....COME ON NOVEMBER 9TH, I'LL BE WAITING!!!!!

Lol Johnson is a tough bastard. Flood chewing on his leg? Please! He laughs at the flood then smokes away on his cigar.

But seriously. The next part has *spoilers*. Johnson survives with a handful of people in First Strike. The reason he wasn't consumed by the Flood because they didn't find him too tastey... He found a crate full of Plasma grenades and had a field day, but the radiation from it made him able to survive the flood from taking him over. Of course he does have some flood cells in him.. I'll let you all think of the rest.

i can picture it now MC and some other spartans are pinned down by a army of covie's and then suddenly a disfigured Sgt. Johnson and a small army of marines charge straight at the covie's mowing them all down

marines kick ass even though they get annoying

Sgt. Johnson used a whole crate of Plasma grenades to hold back a Covenant attack and became ill with the radiation. He got a rare disease called Borens Syndrome which would eventually kill him unless he had treatment. Which he refused so he could go back to war, the condition greatly effects the nervous system.
When attacked by an infection form, the flood DNA was inserted into his spinal chord but it couldn't convert him. Instead flood DNA mixed with its own but was killed of, broken up and immobalized. It is still a part of him and makes him resistant to becoming flood because of his sickness but it has given him regenerative powers. think wolverine without the super strength and claws. That is why he is able to survive and last up to Halo 2.
any other questions please ask
