Modding halo 2 in custom games = Ban?
And if so, how do they tell?

I plan on modding H2 to have some fun but if I'm gonna get banned, I'll just stay offline.

For the record, I would not nor have I ever modded in matchmaking, thats uber lame.

Modding any content of any game = xbox live ban.
Doing so anyways would be a violation of the code of conduct you agreed to when signing up to xbox live.

All throughout history great empires rise and fall. How you ask?
Two reasons:
1. Economic failure because of either inflation or socialistic programs.
2. War. Their armies were spread too thin and too far from home.

The United States has bases all around the world in "hazardous" areas and it's economy collapses it seems every 20 years. Do you really think that history won't change? Do you really think that you can run the world?

you cannot get a ban for modding custom games

Trailer Park Boys ~ One of the best Canadian made comedies ever.

Using any modified content on Xbox Live is grounds for a permanent ban. Even in custom games because having modified content on Xbox Live is a violation of the XBL Terms of Use.

If you use modified content, stay offline. As soon as you go online, you'll be automatically banned. Just a heads up mate so you're informed.

Talking about modding also tends to get you bnned on the Forums.

Modding is illegal, so despite it only being a custom game, you will face the same consequences as anyone else who mods games.

Modding is against the Terms of Use. It is even against the law.

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

Lol, no. Even on the off chance you are banned, you aren't banned from Halo, just from matchmaking.
