In the Fall of Reach i discovered that when John-117 (aka Master Chief) was only six years old, when Dr. Halsey first approached him, asked him if he wanted to play a game, she took out a coin, supposedly ancient, and made john call which side it was going to land on. She said that on one side, there was a pic. of a man with long hair, and the back, there was an eagle, with his head POINTING TOWARDS THE ARROWS, (which means this quarter was made during war time). Is it possible that the covenant war started before the Earth was united in the UNSC, i think i am right but what are your thoughts?

Interesting, but, if the coins ancient it couldn't have been made in the Covenant war. It started recently.

no, before the covenant war, not everyone was happy to be under the controll of the UNSC. Especially all the outer colonies, those farthest from earth. In fact, the spartan program was created because the UNSC believed that humanity was ont eh verge of a massive civil war. Small little uprisings and rebellions were an almost constant occurrence before the Covenant, and the UNSC had gone to war many times...

Your source has innacurate information on it. Xbox.com never did a good job on the Halo timeline. He is a More Accurate One

The Xbox.com one is better if you've already read the books, as it has stuff that the books don't even mention.
