Hey there. I've put in a new PC and want to move my profile from the old one to the new one. Is it as simple as copying a single (or multiple files) from one machine to the other, or am I just out of luck?

Thanks!

I think all you have to do is goto the "my games" folder Halo probably made inside "My Documents" on installation on your old computer, and copy the "Halo" folder into the "my games" folder of your new computer. I think it works. But if your computers have different versions of Halo, all your checkpoints may be reset to the beginning of their respective levels.
That should work, I did something similar when I wanted to backup some checkpoints.

just copy your entire Halo folder to a CD, or your profile onto a floppy (only like 25 kb)
