i remember my self that there was an program called halo anti cheat...

maybe we can make something like that our selfs to.

it will work like punkbuster.

so i need someone who can write computer programs.

i need the ogc combat cause that's the last aimbot i need for my collection so we can blacklist all aimbots.

for the rest it should make schreenshots of all running programs and send them to some server so we can see if someone is aimboting.

also you get your stats tracked.(if possible)

and if bungie wants to they can add this with the auto update.

note: this program will not try to identifies you and stuff like that.
it only gives an list of running programs and makes schreenshots of your game, other running apps, and your desktop to make sure you are not running an aimbot program.

also we need some security so if you shut-down this program or it crashes that the game will auto shut-down with it.

also this program should include auto update for new "definition files" and program updates

Good luck! I can't say I'm particularly bothered though. The biggest positive this would bring for me is that maybe, just maybe it would shut the accusers up! I'm absolutely sick of legit players being accused of hacking. Other than that, if it's a public server then I'll just use sightjacker. If it's a scrim then I'll ask for the player to fraps (if there's any doubt). I have trust in most players I play with though.

why do you think its not going to happen?

cause nobody here can write programs?
well maybe i go to learn how to code in C++ or something.
btw: the aimbots and all stuff doesn't works with the new patch which is an good thing.

but what happened with the halo anti cheat and anti aimbot programs?

and btw i got an fix for the netcode just mod al weapons that they are an little bit homing it will fix all the netcode problems like leading and stuff unless you get an ping of 500> of course.

The reason it won't work is simple...

a) apparently bots are easy to update to get around such programs. If it checks that aimbot is a program they may try and program it as a service instead. Or they may even hide the bot off their desktop and use another shortcut to open the folder.

b) programs like punkbuster are notorious for getting rid of players who had a really good shot for playing the game for years and possibly know the right tricks to make halo run smoother on their machine.

To be honest, save yourself some time because even if it works, its unlikely anyone will try and use it on account of past programs ruining the reputations of their servers by getting rid of legitimate players.

Theres really no replacement for people who have spent the time to learn what these programs look like and how to differentiate between them and legit players.

Hi,

The HAC (Halo Anti Cheat) was discontinued a long time ago, and it's unlikely to resurface, especially as the original developers are no longer involved in Halo.

I do however have the full source code, and along with one of the original team updated it to work properly with HPC (it was built for HCE) and detect the newer cheats, and I did plan on putting it up again (the service, not the source which I'll never be giving out) for those who wanted it.

I did put a fair amount of work into enhancing the site to make better use of the data the application provided (making any real changes to the application would come if I ever put it online again).

You have to remember though that it's client side, and thus is only any use if people want to prove they don't cheat. If people in a pub want to, well, they still can. It's only of any real use in clan games or any leagues that are still around.

But anyway, if there was enough support for the idea then I suppose I could get everything back up.

HAC....Brings back memories when players in KW didn't have to record. Would something like it be adopted now? I honestly don't know. If HAC had kept running way back when it would probably be popular but I just don't know if it would become so this late in the game. One thing I loved about the program though was the kill/death/assists/flag-caps counter.

NC Gijs007: Bungie won't rollout a 3rd party app with the auto-update. And your netcode fix sounds like you want the game to become H2V with its built in aimbot!

Lucian78: To many things to be addressed. Just way to many.

Btcc22: Yes, HAC was client side but there were plans to make a server side app so that you could only have players who were running HAC (and were clean) enter the server.

Anyways, If you want to bring HAC back im all for it. Oh and for those who never had any experience with the program back in the day, here is a screenshot I took of the web based reporting feature it had. I used to have more of them but they have been lost over the ages.

that would be really awesome.
btw: if you need my aimbot collection just tell me and ill send it to you.
btw2: for an free webhost with php and mysql check www.dhost.info
btw3: if you need help with the website putting online or something i will be glad to help you

and no i don't want it to be like h2v, i just say the bullets should be really slightly tracking there target just so you don't have to lead so much.
not that it makes head shot's when you aim at there legs or something.

http://hac.touringnet.co.uk/stats.php?user=Btcc22 ;) Dates of the testing are wrong since it was this year, but anyway.

I'll see if I can get it up again, but it'll take a bit of time to works things out, including the financial side. As it is, it's pretty intensive for the server that has to handle all the data so I'd need to make sure it would have a viable future.
