The one thing that really puts me off using xbconnect is how much it lags when anything important happens such as getting the flag or ambushing somebody. It's also irritating when it lags while I'm trying to walk somewhere. Has anybody got tips for dealing with lag?
My ping isn't a problem as it's around 30.

It doesnt lag that bad when i use it, as long as u get a good server. But what really irritates me is how u have to adjust ur sniper skills to use it. You have to aim a little bit ahead of them when they are running. Thats why u wait till they stop for the head shot, and they ALWAYS stop for some reason or another.

I can't cope with it. I'm so used to LAN parties that I cannot handle that split second delay. I'll just have to wait for H2 and XBL, no lag there, ladies and gentlemen.

I agree, I used to play on xbconnect for a while, always hosting my own games so I dont get any lag (I have cable internet) and still the game would quit on me, or other ppl playing the game would whine saying the games too laggy and what not. Moreso if they were loosing too.

Honestly, its not really the lag that keeps me from playing on xbconnect, but the people there are just not friendly at gaming.

Well the easiest way to Lag (If you're using a Router) is to Download -blam!- while playing :p

Yes, some people on xbc just don't understand that rushing the clock makes the game lag so much. I don't like the bullet lag so much though.

I have joined servers with very little lag but in the end it always creeps in and ruins some of my opportunities. If I start shooting somebody in the back of the head with a pistol they shouldn't turn round and beat me because my game lagged.

Thats the thing that ticks me off the most. I am a pretty good sniper but with lag it takes a couple shots to figure out where to aim, and you almost have to be still while doing this which makes you a sitting duck. On the other hand playing with a little lag has made me a better player. Some of the dudes I played that talk to trash when they host probably suck they are just good when the other people have lag.

I never considered about the hosts not getting lag. I always assumed they were much better than me.
