i've only just learned since joining this forum of the existence of one or more HALO novels. anyone care to inform me of exactly how many there are, and whether they are any good? perhaps something a little deeper than "it's HALO, they're great." are they stand alone, or a series? do the story lines begin following the events in HALO? do they end leading up to HALO2? please don't spoil though. thanks.

Ok there are 3: Halo The fall of Reach (no guesses on what it's about) Halo The Flood (same as game but with a few tweaks) and Halo First Strike (Between Halo 1 and 2)
You can order them off this site but It is cheaper on amazon I think. Probably faster too.

They are very good.. the first book Fall Of Reach tells you alot more about the spartan program and how they were trained and that crap... the second book Halo tell's you alot more that the game itself dose not say...and the third book First Strike is about how after the master chief take's over a covy ship and....well im not goin to spoil it, but yes they all are great book's, i mean it go's in to so much detail that the game hardly has.

bah

The only two you must read are The Fall of reach and First Strik. The Flood takes place during Halo and isn't absolutely required. You have to read FoR before FS though, otherwise a lot won't make sense. First Strike is by far the best book and the only novel that I would recommendto a non-Halo palyer.
