(I am known as Zero Flaw to some people)
I made a list of all the Halo 2 information I could think off the top of my head. I know there are MANY people here who don't have a very good idea of the features etc. in Halo 2, so I thought this list would enlighten this forum a bit.
I can't say this list is 100% accurate, but I can say that there isn't much wrong with it. I hope you learn something new!
--Insert List--
Human Weapons confirmed by screenshots (only):
Sub-Machine Gun: Fires at (most likely, who's counting?) 20-25 rps, may have a suppressed variant. Dual-weild capable. Magazine capacity: No info. Caseless ammo, extendable stock...
S2 AM Sniper Rifle: Seems to be the same as in Halo, but with a different stock and white body color with black accessories.
Battle Rifle: Fires at (once again, who's counting?) 5-10 rps, (probably) 30 rounds per magazine, has a scope for 2x magnification.
Rocket Launcher: Same as Halo, but with unknown improvements (Weekly Update).
Shotgun: Looks the same, any changes are unknown.
Frag Grenade: Looks more like a pineapple grenade. Stun effect outside of damage radius (possibly inside radius if you don’t die).
Stationary Turret: Just like a LAAG, but not. Can be used in Multiplayer.
Alien Weapons confirmed by screenshots (only):
Plasma Pistol: Any changes are unknown. Dual-weild capable.
Plasma Rifle: Any changes are unknown. Dual-weild capable (likely). Jackals can carry these.
Needler: Changes hinted at, but unknown. Dual-weild capable.
Brute Weapon (name unknown): Grenade launcher with a large blade for cutting underneath. Anything else is unknown.
Elite Weapon (name unknown): The X03 gun. It has a zoom capability. Anything else is unknown.
Plasma Grenade: Unchanged, but may have a separate remote detonation version (Hold L trigger to keep grenade active. Blows up when you release the L trigger.).
Shade Turret: Any changes unknown. Can be used in Multiplayer.
--New Weapon Factoids--
-You can dual-weild two one-handed weapons, with each trigger controlling its respective weapon.
-You can carry two one-handed weapons and one two-handed weapon at the same time.
-You can not throw grenades while dual-weilding.
-You can not melee while dual-weilding.
-Time your B presses to string together melee combos for up to 3 hits.

LAAG Warthog
Gauss Warthog
Snow Warthog
Jungle Warthog
Troop Transport Warthog
Rocket Warthog
Scorpion Tank
ATV (Name unknown.)
Pelican Dropship (Turret weapon in back.)

Phantom
Transport Bus (Name unknown. “Creep” is the current temporary name.)
Big-ass Mortar Cannon (Name unknown, seen in the E3 Demo, is useable by player)
-Vehicles take damage. (Shoot a wheel enough, and it gets destroyed.)
-You can steal a vehicle by pressing X right before it hits you. You will die if the vehicle is moving too fast. Once you board, you can A) Shoot the driver. B) Throw a Plasma Grenade on the driver. Or C) Kick out the driver. This works for all vehicles with exposed drivers.
-Marines, Brutes, Grunts, and Elites have driver's licenses so far.
-Flying vehicles in multiplayer (Where applicable.).
Multiplayer Features:
-1-4 player split-screen (co-op is unknown.).
-1-16 players via Xbox LIVE or System Link.
-Online Co-op: Unconfirmed.
-# of players for Co-op: Unconfirmed.
-All the old multiplayer modes are back.
-New modes include Assault (carry bomb to opponent's base), and a Spartan vs. Elite battle mode (Think Halo's campaign with human players, not AI.).
-4 teams in Multiplayer (Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow).

ODST's/Marines
Grunts/Jackals/Hunters/Elites/Brutes/Prophets/Unknown Species (Engineers unconfirmed.)
The Flood (Likely with MUCH more tactical AI so they are actually cool to fight.)
Locations:
Earth
Covenant Homeworld/Covenant Space (After you save Earth.)
Ruins of previous Halos
Forerunner Installations (In the atmospheres of gas giants.)
--More Features--
Destructible Environments: Wood will shatter, glass will break, and the enemy will know if the obstacle you are hiding behind can be destroyed.
Better Physics: If you shoot a car, it will take the hit and move a little. Objects (or POOPS) can be blown around realistically!
Bumpmapped EVERYTHING: Better graphics with a lower polygon count to keep the graphics running VERY smooth!
Ambient Life: Butterflies, bugs, birds (likely but nothing is confirmed).
Gaze Tracking: In Multiplayer, the character's heads will move independently of the body. So, instead of always facing forwards, the head will turn around wherever the player looks, providing a much more natural feel.
Grenade Explosions: In Halo, each grenade exploded separately when you had a pile of them to make a big explosion composed of little explosions. Now, depending on how many grenades you have, it will be a single explosion, but ALOT BIGGER. Status: Likely, but not for sure.
Basic Training: Lets round up all of the Chief's new moves...
Melee Combos (Discussed above.)
Vehicle Boarding (Discussed above.)
Peeking: Master Chief will crane his neck around a corner to scout ahead. You cannot shoot while peeking, and the enemy AI cannot see you.
Sprinting: Run straight ahead for a few seconds and the Chief will lower his gun and sprint to almost twice normal speed. If you shoot, jump, or sidestep, he will slow down and draw his gun.
Lights Out: Light is dynamic, so you can destroy (a) light source(s) and make the room completely dark. Some Covenant will pull out flashlights and look for you if they have them.
--End List--
There you have it! Maybe a sticky would do some good... ;)
