for some reason i can not connect to any servers and i have no idea why. when i choose join game it shows the server select screen with no servers on it. if somone would be kind enough to help it would be much appreciated.

Halo CE my bad shoulda specified, and i am indeed under internet. it says that i cannot connect to the gamespy master server. am i supposed to pay something extra to be able to play it online?

i dont know. i can host games on the intrnet though. but alas playing with myself is not fun. XD

You can host games but no one can join I assume?

Are you on a router? You need to forward those ports, so check out portforward.com

yeah im pretty sure nobody can join.

no router my comp connects directly into my modem, unless theyre called router now. ive been hiding under a rock for a year so im not sure. but ill check the portforward thing out.

yeah can i configure it to allow me to play and still be there?

BTW do i HAVE to do that stupid thing with gamespy? it seems like such a hassle.

norton its from yahoo or sumthin.

the one with gamespy. i have to connect to it through there correct? do the GS arcade crap that came with HPC if not then cool.

Uh what? No you don't have to use the gamespy arcade client; that thing is useless.

Just start up halo, multiplayer, then click join internet game. Norton shouldn't give issues as far as I know.

ok well i had to set rules for Halo so that it will be allowed to connect and now i can see the servers, but it says i cannot connect when i choose one.

... i cant join because i donthave the right map for the server... XD

Um, is this a pirated version of Halo or did you purchase it legally? The map error you are getting doesn't make any sense if you installed the game off a CD.

...are you talking about Custom Edition? If so, you need to download maps for that.
