I'm not real big on AMD but I believe the equivalent would be the 3400. I believe it actually runs at about 3.2 but AMD 'claims' it runs as good as a 3.4 hz p4.

200 MHz isn't a bit difference at all. In graphics cards it is but if your'e really picky, you can just over clock the damn thing to make it that good.

Yes of course, you can most certainly overclock the bloody bastard of a machine!

Athlon 3200 socket 939, winchester core. Mine runs faster than the Extreme Edition 3.73GHz. And think, for less than 1/10 of the price :D

if you have around 800 to 900 bucks to burn, get a athlon 64 fx 55 ;)

theyre the best cpu out there for gaming

and amds actually run cool....p4s are insanely hot...my grandfather's 3.0 ghz p4 idles at 135 degrees farenheit with the stock cooler

yeah, how much does a temperature sensor cost? Does it have to come with the heatsink and fan, or can you add one to an existing heatsink and fan?

i believe that you can just by the temp. sensor and it goes in an extra bay where a cd drive would normally go. as to what it costs, i think they may be $15-$30 i have never bought one or looked at one.

o and sexy legs davis, what type of motherboard do u have with that amd, i know a lot about intel but im lost when it comes to amd.

I don't know about Intel, but with the 64-bit AMD's, you can run 32- and 64-bit simultaneously. I'm running an Abit Fatality s939, has lots of fans and a load of sensors and such.
