I've got to agree. I have not seen an -blam!- here in a long time.

No. You still have the little kids who feel the urge to compare Halo 3 with Halo 2 and idiots who can't read the name of this forum and post non-Halo 2 related things here.

H1 and Halo Custom edition name: madkiller92
xfire:madkiller92

I'm a kid, and I enjoy the older games, and don't like to compare them. I persoanlly think halo 1 is the best. It's just that classic feel, also it was my first Shooter. Also, halo 2 is very fun.

Most kids like it just because it has a a large/kid-of-tacky amount of new stuff, not because of gameplay.

All throughout history great empires rise and fall. How you ask?
Two reasons:
1. Economic failure because of either inflation or socialistic programs.
2. War. Their armies were spread too thin and too far from home.

The United States has bases all around the world in "hazardous" areas and it's economy collapses it seems every 20 years. Do you really think that history won't change? Do you really think that you can run the world?

I wasn't here before halo 3 came out, so I wouldn't know, but if this forum was just like the halo 3 forum, I like it just the way it is right now :)

The reason for this is because all the little kids who got there 360s and GoW for their 2nd b-day got halo 3.

Be genetically different, homie!

I also think that fits well with the actual game, instead of 8 year olds in halo 3 asking if you want to play fat kid, you have a nice community of gamers who are playing for fun

I used to be regular on the halo 2 forums some 2 years ago. I agree with the OP. Although its not as bad as the halo 3 forum as it is today, there were quite a few negative things going on. I suppose thats the internet for you and again its what happens when your dealing with immature teenagers who don't really know how to have a discussion.

I used to really enjoy the halo 2 forum. Well over 2000 posts but because of a work commitment, i stopped posting. One time i went back, maybe 8 months later and i just couldn't believe how different it was. It was terrible......... the atmosphere was just a disgrace. Pretty much how the halo 3 forum is now. Lots of flamming, stupid posts, name calling etc....

So in the space of 7 or 8 months since i lasted posted, i lasted maybe 30 mins and was just shocked to just HOW bad the forum had gone. This was probably early 2007 and needless to say i didn't come back to the bungie website until a couple of months ago. Played my first halo 2 games today in well over 12 months and loved every minute of it and im glad that this forum ( although deserted ) is now rid of the people that brought it down.

Yes, it's now like the old western town of the forums. with a population of 100, but everyone bakes cherry pies and puts em in the window.

ARBITER, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER!!! WORT WORT WORT.

Sometimes it's good to keep the past alive... let's the kids mess with themselves and their hormones, and then there's us just keeping it cool. The Halo 2 forum was lively, but there was a 560 page thread... that was the spine of the Halo 2 forum... it's the only reason I joined the forums... years ago...

So that's where they've been going.
