It is not a program it is a group of programs installed in your Halo CE Folder.

Take my advice: Don't try to make maps. Just give up, and go play the damn game.

It'll save you some time.

Yeah, if you can't figure this out, I don't think you should be making maps. It's a bunch of programs, not just one. Maybe you just downloaded the manual for it?

Keep it Unclean

Read the Hek Tutorial and all will be explained. The 3 tools that come with it are called "Sapien" "guerrilla" and "tool"

This kind of advice won't get you anywhere.
Read the tutorial that comes with HEK, and if you're interested in map making, prepare for a long epic journey full of goodness, and the occasional setback ;)

I have to agree.

But I'm not afraid of being honest, sir. I've helped tonnes of people out that seemed remarkably similar to this guy. They just ended up getting frustrated, and gave up =\

Some people just don't have what it takes to be a developer of any sort. I'm not gonna say sorry if that sounds "elitist" [which it is], but damn.

Good luck, then.

Don't listen to him. If you're ambitious enough and patient enough, you'll get it. Now, for the programs that came with HEK. There should be Tool, Sapien, and guerrilla. You should leave them in your halo ce folder where they were, or make shortcuts to them. Don't move them.

sapien and guerrilla should open correctly if everything is installed correctly, but tool isn't a normal "program". It doesn't have any graphical user interface. It's a command line program, so you run it from the command prompt ("Run" from the start menu works too. i find it easier. Or you can download a program called tool++ wish does have a graphical user interface and so is easier to use, but I've heard it might not work as well as regular tool.

P.S. If anyone knows how to get a complete working tagset, msg me.
