I would love to see slow motion in Halo 2's multiplayer. I remember playing Perfect Dark with slow motion on... It was unbelievably cool. It gave a very Matrix-ish feel. It's so intense when you're blasting away at someone with duel pistols, bullet shells flying in the air, dodging behind pillars and corners.

PD had two types of slo-mo... The 1st was straight up slow motion. The 2nd was a "smart slo-mo", which only slowed things down when you got close to opponents. I prefered the smart slo-mo. There's really no reason for things to get slow when you're not battling.

PD offered slo-mo in two ways... As an option in the MP settings which would last the entire match, or as an item which could be used at any time.

And yeah, I know slow motion isn't a realistic idea... But whatever. I don't really care. It's a really cool feature, and I think sacrificing a bit of realism is worth it.

What do you all think?

Sounds dumb, maybe when you're making a video out of your saved replays or somethnig, but not in actual gameplay...

Bungie hinted at the idea for single player, & that it would be triggered just like a cinematic, not so much much as actually slowing time, but more like having better reflexes, if you have played red dead revolver then you'll kinda get the sense of its purpose.bungie doesn't want it to be a cliche ala matrix & max payne

Yeah, it definitely shouldn't be over done.

Actually, that wouldn't ne TOO unrealistic. Ever heard of SPARTAN time? Spartan's see everything in slow motion when adrenaline is pumping through their bodies. And Max Payne was cool, even though it's cliched. (spelling?)

Normally I would agree... But with slow motion all players are affected, not just the person who picks up the power-up. So the playing field is even. No "unfair" advantages.

Me: "OMFG, Dude... wtf!"
AbolitionofMan: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to betray you."
Me: "That's the 4th time in this game alone!"
Chris: "Third, besides he had the flag I was trying to stop him, how was I supposed to know you were there."
Me: "I said, 'I got the Flag, don't shoot.'"
Chris: "Well those Wraith shots take a while to reach you."
Me: "You were right next to me, I had killed him and a minute passed before you decided to shoot."
Chris: "Hahahahaha, yeah... that was great."

Come on Hawk, how are they no skill... they are there for anyone to pick up. And you can still see an invisible person... and an OS person isn't too much harder to kill. If you see someone pick it up, then immeidiatly tell a TM with a sniper, put a round through him and take it away... or nade him and then he's almost all gone... besides... it does dissppear by itself. The ONLY time I hate it is when you're shooting someone and they have one bar left and they walk over an OS and you have no chance then...
