I think we should have like a ranking system and/or Total posts for the bungie fourms.

I think it would show how dedicated people are and would give people a purpose to go on the fourms and post.

It should go like.. Over 50 posts=Peon, Over 150 posts=Memeber, 300 and over= Staff and Like over 500 is overlord or somthing.

Just posting what I think would spice up these fourms

Indeed, alot of other forums have this and it makes me wnat to visit the site moe and try to post intresting things, The only thing bad this could bring is people spamming just for getting posts, butthen again theyll just get blacklisted and their posts will reset

yeah... it is of course a great idea, but most people would just spam... and that even more than it's already being done... :(

I've probably logged more posts here than any one member here. If there's anyone who wants a post count, it should be me.

Simply said- I don't. Having a large post count doesn't mean a damn thing. There are people who would abuse this feature heavily, and it can never be implemented again. Honestly, the character of the average person here is less than admirable. They don't think about the repercussions of their actions- they just do whatever comes to mind. Besides we don't need people posting any more than they already are. The forums are moving fast enough already- and if you add "post gaining" spam into that you have a catastrophe.

I'd be interested in knowing how many posts I have, but I'd rather not have a post count. I'm just curious though.

Technically you could count up every single post you made by looking in the older threads, of all the forums you've ever posted in. Wow, that would take a long time...

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

We had post counts and people spammed to get a higher post count. Now lets just say we have post counts again (which we won't but lets just say) Having ranks based on post counts would be even worse because people will spam till they get to that 500 post count to make it to overlord.

Congratulations on being a bigger loser than the rest of us ;)

Yeah, I'm probably not far behind ya so I shouldn't talk.

Either you or your Psyched counter part. Once the new forums arrived and the release of halo 2 hit, my time on this site has dwindled. That's why you only see me in the Septagon usually. To ballpark my posts. I'd have to say it's in the 3,000-4,000 range.

The only dedicated people I've seen are those who have been here a while and post because they help others out. Not for glory or fame. That's what being a true bungie.netter is all about.

Be all that you can be; Isn't this post kind of cheesy....eh?

I agree whole-heartedly with the barron here. The last thing we want is some power hungry, adolecant fools destroying any attempts at civilized conversation as they can to make themselves seem more prestegious then the rest of us by having some ridiculous post count while destroying the servers in the process.

Hehe. We were almost tied last time I checked.

No, I won't say how many posts either of us had.

  • 03.06.2005 7:17 PM PDT

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

Yeah, no post counter. Not that it owuld ever happen again anyway. Dammit Banshee, why did you have to say you knew how many posts you had? Now wondering how you found out will drive me crazy....Unless you are bluffing. Which I doubt.

It's gone now- entirely. Don't worry about it.

Ok I know what you're talking about now. Thank you for not torturing me with it :)

Why not log total hours spent here on a piece of paper at home. Then count them up at the end of the year and see just how dedicated you are!

Man, that would be horrible. I don't add a lot but I lurk like no other. I spend more time online than I do at work, and that's with a regular job (kinda). Sleep deprivation is a blast, just to let you know.

I lurk a lot as well, but it's only if you really wanted to see how many hours you spend here a day.

Sleep deprivation sucks. Getting up at 4:00 = not fun.
