When I try to play Half-Life 2 and Halo on my comp, it crashes. Anybody know any good games that will run smoothly on my comp?

Amd athlon 4 1.2 ghz
256 megs of ram
8mb video ram, ati mobility rage agp

Besides solitare and 3d ultra pinball?

Hmm, your processor is slow, sort of, your RAM could use some help, but with that video card you won't play anything, really. You need at least 128MB on a video card to play a game okay, not great, okay. Sounds like you have a laptop?

Yeah, the Halo PC system requirements say that you absolutley need a 32MB video card or higher. As for Half-Life 2, it's requirements are even more than Halo's. I suggest you go to Pricewatch.com and you can find really good deals on everything computer-related. They'll probably have a good deal on a mobile card.

Half-life2 doesnt need a better vid card ( look at the world grapics )

ouch. ouch ouch ouch.
man, thoes speks are hurting me. how old is that thing?
recomendation: to play games like halo and HL2, get a new comp. you can get a pre built computer from dell for under $500(i think they might be on sale for under $300 now) that'll most likely run HL2 ok, and if you buy a better graphics card also, you can play halo nicely also.
