Well everybody who have tried the Action Sack ore the games written above knows that there is a pattern threw all these games (written above) and it's actually quite obvius. Let me give some examples.

Let's start with Pathway and M1. You start in the excact same environments! The green stone walls and green stone doors (that probably has given a lot of hart pumping) and the red rune on the floor in the middle of the room. The only difference is that in M1 there is some kind af gost ore spirit-thingy flying over the rune.

And now Marathon 1, 2, 3 and Halo. Well in M1,2,3 there is these logos on the walls, on the computer screens and so on but if you play Halo and you take a closer look you will se almost as many of these logos on the walls inside the buildings in Silent Cartographer, on Captain Keyes uniform and they're even a part of the Halo logo in the start menu (and everywere else) (It's right between the "A" and the "L")

But why have Bungie made these patterns I really don't understand. It could be just for fun but there is so many things that are equal in these games so i think not. Maybe they just liked it and used it again ore maybe there is some reallistic reason?!?

PS: of course there is many other things and places that looks like M1,2,3 ore Pathway i just piked some few...

Yes there are connections between the games, but I don't think PiD
and Marathon start in the same place. They ("They" as in not Bungie)
added that to the the M1A1 version that you can download. I could
be wrong though, as I'm not 100% sure. There is also another thread
about the same topic called "I did some mulling over Marathon"
on the front page of this forum.

If you're really interested in these connections, go to the links below.
marathon.bungie.org/story
halo.bungie.org/story
sorry, for some reason the links won't work, so you'll have to type.

I know it's not the same place but the environments is the same... The same walls doors and so on...

Yes, the games are all connected in some ways.

The original, pre-Microsoft Bungie made PiD and the Marathon Trilogy... Comparing the two is simple. PiD is sort of a pre-story to Marathon. PiD is merely a world parallel to Marathon, as they both have the Jjaro and the W'rkncacnter in them. PiD is merely in a different time and place.

As for Marathon Trilogy and Halo... Halo is merely a ripoff of Marathon's concepts. Thank the new Microsoft-owned Bungie for that blasphemy. There are no actual connections besides the recycling of names and concepts in Marathon. There isn't anything that suggests the two (Halo and Marathon) exist in the same 'universe' per se as PiD and Marathon do. Halo just happens to use the same logos, names, AI concepts, and so forth as Marathon does in a different 'universe'. AKA ripoff.

What are you talking about the new microsoft owned Bungie. It's the exactly same company just owned by Microsoft.

Yup, thanks for repeating what I said. The new Microsoft-owned Bungie. Everything goes through Microsoft since they stamped their name on top of Bungie. Does Marathon have a website on Microsoft.com? No... that's because Microsoft didn't own Bungie back when it made Marathon. Back in the good old days.

Are you saying that in some way the ownership by Microsoft of Bungie is a bad thing?
I cant believe this?!!? Because of microsoft, Halo was made for xbox and pc, instead of just mac, because of microsoft bungie has all the finacial support they need, because of microsoft bungie has a team of microsoft employes to help them with the vehicles in halo 2, because of microsoft bungie is what it is today.

Ya those were the "good old days", but these are the better days.

Actually, before the Acquisition™, Halo was going to be a simultaneous Mac/PC release, just like Myth. It was unveiled at MacWorld New York 1999, leading to this popular misconception.

Oh, from what Ive read it seemed that it would only be for mac, but thanks for clearing that up, i like to know as much as possible about bungies history.

Halo was also being developed on a PC rather than a Mac.

I thought it started on a mac. Anyway, I realy do think Microsoft helped Bungie, rather than hurt them.

By the way, we should get this thread back on topic.

Ach! Was ist los?

In reply to various confused people:

There are no Pathways environtments in Marathon. The PiD area you're referring to exists only in the AlephOne port of M1. It's there as a tribute.

Not that there weren't ANY PiD references in M1. The secrets of Never Burn Money come to mind...
