In multiplayer when someone is carrying two weapons, I think the weapon they aren't holding should be shown on their waist or somethin'. I hate when a rocket launcher magical appears out of nowhere (maybe out of M.C.'s ass) and I'm blown to dust. I want to be able to see that rocket launcher attached to my enemy's back so I will know to get the f**k out of there. Does anyone else agree???

It would add alot more strategy also. Because you can see what weapon everyone on your team has. And if you need that weapon, you can ask to borrow it.

or if you see someone running at you with a plasma pistol but a big 'ole rocket launcher strapped to their back... maybe you'll go fry some other fish

Pretty good idea. It could go both ways though. Part of the strategy is to hide your better weapon so that somebody comes over thinking that all you have is that crappy plasma pistol. Then you blast them to bits. On the other hand, it would add a lot more strategy for the people who actually want to check out the situation before just charging in. I like the idea, because I usually hold the rocket launcher in my hands whenever I plan on using it anyway.

I'm sort of undecided. But you have to take in mind the sniper rifle whores online. Like, if I get a sniper rifle that everyone is racing to in a CTF game, sometimes backstabbers try and kill you for it. that's why i put the sniper rifle in my back-up until i find a location, so the stabbers don't see it. And it is fun to whip out a launcher when a warthog full of enemies think you are just running around with a rifle. Then WHIPPA!!! Rocket Launcher, 3 dead enemy bodies.

So I'm undecided.

I don't really like the surprise element where someone pulls the rocket launcher out and kills you. I think that it should be strapped on MC's back, so IF you see it (it's gonna be kinda hard to see because it is strapped to the other guys back and more than likely you are seeing him face to face), you can react.

And about people TKing to get your weapon if, for example, they see you have a sniper rifle strapped on your back...I think it WILL happen. But not enough to cause any sort of problem.

I think its good the way it is, I don't want to not be able to hide my other weapon, like the other dude said with the sniper thing.

Good Idea, but possibly too straining to the game engine. If they did it where it looked good, it would have to take a hit on the physics model so it moved realistically. If they did it where it didn't have it's own physics it would look like a plastic gun stuck in a GIJoes back.

But the Physics model add possibilities too, What if your mean speed was figured with the weight of a pistol and a AR, (Two standard Sidearms) Well if you had a Plasma Pistol and a Human pistol, your speed would increase a bit, and if you had a rocket launcher and a Battle Rifle, you would slow down. This way you would trade off speed for firepower, and adding a whole new level of reality to the game.

Thanks, yeah it's like my spamming timeline.

And on topic...for people who said "Bad Idea," why not? I don't see how being surprised by a rocket launcher could be any fun. Unless of course you are the ones doing the surprising...

And I do like the idea about the weight of the gun slowing ya down. That is very realistic and would add an entire new dimension to the game.

The few that said 'Bad Idea' have their points too. #1 if you got shot in the Rocket launcher, would you still take damage? You do if the warthog gets shot. So it's a pretty logical assumption. And on the idea of realism, if you had a rocket launcher on your back and got shot in the ammo? Well what then? - Even worse what if you get shot in some SMG ammo? You'd look like a roman candle.

haha I think it's funny Canoli how you used to be a total spammer now your making sure to not step on anybody's toes. Relax man this topic has been around for months and who cares who started it.

Anyways... for my two cents i gotta say that it would be totally awesome to see the second weapon holstered. It would add realism and strategy. If we keep up about it -it'll probly be in Halo3 (if there is one).

i don't know about the holstered rockets/ammo you're carrying going off when hit. They don't explode when they're lying on the ground when hit (the casing is strong enough). But if you had some plasma grenades on your waist and you got stuck by one... well, you can figure out the possibilities.

The other question I've heard is "Where would the larger weapons (on your back) go when riding in a vehicle like the Hog?"

...and it took me a while but then i figured out the solution to that tricky one "...the same place they go when holstered in Halo 1."
