This game is going to be the most awaited release (for consoles) of the last decade. Other games like kill-zone pale in comparison to the beauty of the new Havok engines detail and gameplay. Still Bungie and Microsoft have not announced a port to PC. This is an unfortunatle set of circumstances for all those totally addicted to Halo PC. Also during the next 2-5 months many gamers are upgrading thier PC's to better specs in the face of game titles like Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 being released. Many have already found that these next-gen titles like Far Cry have minimum specifications that thier mom and dads dell cant handle. I understand the critics of what I am saying here, and realize that many cannot afford the computer needed to make Halo 2 look good. That being said I am an enthusiast whos computer would make other peoples pocket book weep. I am ready for the Havok engines lovlyness to grace my 42 inch LCD LCDTV while being powerd by my monster PC system. I want games to be played at a higher resolution while my THX surround sound booms out the sound of the fray. Though to do this I need Halo 2 to be released on PC.
Now I know many will say "why dont you buy an Xbox (or the soon to be released Xbox2)", and I will answer "I have a box in my closet filled with every console made since the colleco vision to the PS1 (my original pong game was stolen.. GRR) , and these consoles served thier purpose as the best and newest things in video gaming; until they were out-dated by new ones, and then they went into this box" this is my "X-box" or the box in which all the consoles of my past were placed after being "X'ed-out" by newer ones. After my last console purchase of the PS1; PC gaming became a newer and better thing as computers began to become graphically more intense. So as a natural progression I moved to PC for my gaming needs. When the PS2 can the Xbox came out I pondered as to if I was to buy one or both of them, but came to the conclusion that my upgradeable PC was more worth the hard-earned cash to provide me with a great game experience. Now I understand that if you are still living at home with your parents having them buy you a new $2000+ gaming system is probably out of the question, but for those of us that work really hard at what we do (and dont want to invest in a console that will be outdated in 3-5 years) cant we get some Halo 2 action too? Please I ask that if you dont agree with me.. dont flame me for wanting Halo2 for PC. I am a console gamer just like you, but I have chosen to think outside of the "console box".

ummmmmmmm. Halo for PC was made to get pc gamers to buy xbox and halo 2, so you are probably out of luck. great computer games need a VERY powerful computer, and that costs more than an xbox and halo 2.

If you can afford all that you could probably afford an xbox and live. Didnt you hear? Halflife and doom3 are also coming to xbox ;)

i wouldnt be surprised if microsoft stayed quiet about a pc version until the xbox version is out the door and done. for two reasons

1. companies usually dont undermine their products expecially one as clinching as this. i mean. h2 is a game that will make people buy an xbox. you dont just say hey , "h2 is coming out, but dont get an xbox from us because it will come out for pc too. " makes no sense for ms to do that

2. microsoft would i am sure love for it to be on pc to push their current version of direct x out into the market. its all about economics and ms is king of that

Wow, how is this even a topic:

1) You have a really cool and powerful PC that cost a lot (you made sure to point this out).
2) Halo 2 is slated for an Xbox exclusive release.
3) You want to play Halo 2.

What do you do? How is this a hard question?

Looks like console gaming is getting the goods; most PC titles, including the new ones, are tired in my opinion.

Microsoft is pushing the Xbox right now, so I think the only chance of PC'ers getting Halo 2 is if they wait about 2 years, like the first time.

I am sorry to say but you computer will be outdated in less than 3-5 years and it costs a lot more than an xbox.

That's why I don't get just spending 2k on a pc when you could have spent 300 to play MOST of those games. Although, I when I grow up, plan on having consoles and PC. If you think about it you spent what 2,000+ dollars on your comp when like I sai you could have just bought a 300 dollar console. Now RTS's are better for PC and I prefer FPS's on a PC but it just so happens that getting a 300 box is less expensive...

On the plus side for PC, when it says XBOX EXCLUSIVE on the Halo2 game box it means that Halo 2 is on XBOX only console whise. IT says XBOX Exclusive on the Halo Box, yet it still came out for PC. I don't think you should worry about getting it, but it will take awhile for the game to be ported to PC.

Anyways, who knows what's going on in the heads of bungie maybe they are planning on releasing a PC version shortly after, maybe they aren't. These are just my thoughts on this subject, and I could understand why you don't feel like going off and spending 300 dollars after you already put so much work in your PC.
