But you were dead a thousand times. Hopeless encounters successfully won. A man long dead, grafted to machines your builders did not understand. You follow the path, fitting in to an infinite pattern.
Yours to manipulate, to destroy and rebuild.
Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.
I know who you are.
You are Destiny.

I just recently got the full version of Halo PC and the graphics are bad, every player is the same color, and Bloodgulch and all the other maps look bad and not as good as the Xbox ones. I've heard a lot of talk about video cards and such. I really don't know how to get a good one or what mine even is. I have a VAIO computer with Windows XP. It's only a few months old. All of my other games work fine. Anyone know where I can get one of these video cards?

Well I personnaly have worked on a few vaio's so I can tell you that you probably have an Intel or Geforce integrated graphics system, or in laymans terms your graphics card is part of the motherboard (the main part of your computer hardware). Now for some games this isnt a bad thing, but for Halo PC it is. Halo PC is a VERY graphic intensive game, so you need a graphics card that is not part of your motherboard. VAIO's (usually) have a separate AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) slot to add-in a separate Graphics card. Now choosing what kind of graphics card you want depends ont both your budget, and what you want to do graphically on you computer (i.e. gaming, Game map design, video editing, ect.). There is a new guide to graphics cards on this site (click here) just look around and see what they rate as being "good". If you are confused coylter has a post (click here) that has a comprehensive guide to all PC hardware. When you are done, and have gone out and bought your add-in card, I have a post (click here)
to help you put it in your case without destroying anything. I hope this helps you.

lol no need to listen to him =)

oh btw does your game run slow as well as bad graphics? If its only graphics a video board is all you need, but if it runs slow aswell a sound card will help make it run faster

Yeah it makes him be quiet.

Toast this is an open forum, but flaming people with simple questions is just rude. Remember "flame not others, yet ye be flamed" is the golden rule of forums. I cant tell you what to post, but really ...if you are having a bad day... try not to take it out on people in the forum.

O.K, first of all, I have the trial version of Halo, but i am bidding on the full version via ebay. I know what you mean. When you go online, all the characters are the same color. That guy was right, your card is integrated, and so is mine. Mine is a SIS 32mb card. Its so bad it scares me! Anyway i recommend ebay. I am getting a Ati Radeon 9600 xt 256mb ddr. When i do, itwill run halo like a dream. It will run anything like a dream. If you go with Ati, then you should use any thing that is a radeon 9600 pro, and above. Do not get the Ati radeon 9600 Se. Anyway, glad to help. Others may haveother ideas (F.Y.I. nvidia graphics cards, which also work good, but only if you get the right one.) Anyway, I know that I am of help to some people, and hopefully am of some help to you.
