Okay I normally don't do this but I need to clarify publically. Since the message was sent to me anyways I figure I might as well shed some light on it for all of you.

(This was sent to me from TRUNKZ)

Your rite of wat the flood are... bout them being parasites and all. but these squid lookng parasites use us as host rite? but whoever gets infectd, is not alive. and if they wer then ther be ugly lookng humans vs infectd elites.(that would be cool) but ther infectd, walkng, n' killng, and very much dead. i dont thnk a human could run around wit both arms bown off. and an infected Elite running around wit its head blown off. so just thnk, nothng be walkng round wit no heads, unless they were dead... dont get mad cause im right, but so are you. your talkng bout the Flood's orginal form, im talkng bout its Flood that infectd its Host. The Host!
latr dawg, Peace Out!

First off, yes I am right about what the Flood are. They are muta-genic parasites. The Infection form infects the host generally while they are alive. They can do so once they are dead, but normally the host is knocked unconscious and then taken. At least that is the only real way I see it working out.

As for the "ugly looking humans" yeah they become ugly because the Flood Infection Form alters the genetic structuring of the host to make it one suitable for furthur Flood reprodcution. Now there was an instance where the human was still alive and conscious while infected, ie Private Jenkins and Captain Keyes(God rest their imaginary souls). They went through Hell and back while under the control of their Flood parasites. Of course their former bodies were under the control of the Flood, but they still felt everything that was going on.

Because of these two examples I am willing to bet that more of those infected had similar results. Now continuing on with your "walking and killing and very much dead. "

Yes they are walking and killing, but they are very much alive. Even after limbs and heads are blown off. They are also very intelligent. I'd even go so far as to say they are far superior in intellect to us Humans and Covenant. Why? Because the Flood get all of their knowledge from their hosts. They go from host to breeding to new host and I believe that they maintain their former intelligences and pass them on to the next generation of Flood forms. Which over several generations would make them very smart.

I know you were talking about the host and so was I. I'll leave it up to Bungie and my fellow more aspired Halo theologists to determine myself being more in the right than you.

I think he thinks you are stupid.

If the Flood did manage to get to the surface it would be no problem. Just let the Covenant glass the planet from orbit. No Flood could survive that. Not one. The Covenant glass every square inch of a planet and are ver thorough in their work. So if the UNSC defense can't hold them back, then the Covenant will.

I think you cuss too much TRUNKZ. I don't think there is a second halo, just cause it has halo and then a 2 doesn't necessarily imply that there is a 2nd Halo installation, it can just be the name of the game ie Deus Ex:Invisible War, The War isn't invisble in fact it is very visible and all the people know about it.

Bungie confirmed a second Halo to come into play in Halo 2 already. Also TRUNKZ, learn how to spell damn it. It is really annoying to read your 3 grade english.

It seems Bungie has removed it from their Halo 2 FAQ.....hmm. It is also gone on the Xbox.com one as well. That pisses me off. But I do also remember reading it inside of this yera's Halo 2 E3 Exclusive of OXM a few days back.

uh dude, did you even read my post? i know that there are at least 4 Halos (it says that in my post) and really, if you sit and think about it, how WOULD the flood get on earth? certainly not in one covie ship. yeah sure the covies fear them, but the MC knows what to do. and anyway, i AM entitled to my own opinion so BACK OFF! and yeah, blowing them up while they were on route to earth is VERY possible, and likely. if the covies found them, they surely would know that if they let the flood onto a planet, that they and humans would likely be infected, so they would blow thier ship up. the rest of your questions are answered in my first post.

hey dude, before you go about flaming someone for their opinion, make sure you actually read their post and get the facts straight ;)

dude, trunkz, theres like 6-7 billion ppl on the earth now, in 500 years there will be around 20 billion wtf r u talkin about!?

Actually the earth will not be able to support that many people, that's why people move to other planets.

We can support everone inside the freaking state of Texas, and that is 6 billion. Of course you'd only get 1 square foot to yourself if all 6 billion were in Texas, but 20 billion is not enough to cause us to go and colonize other planets. We'd need more than that.

the Flood getting to Earth and infecting humans doesn't make any sense. first, how would they get to Earth? all of the flood on Halo 04 were killed whem the MC blew it up, and as far as we know, none of the other Halos have been searched by the covies and the flood populations on the other Halos haven't been woken up yet. so lets say the flood take control of a Covenant ship and for some reason decide to go to Earth. when they got there, they would be blown straight to hell by the orbital Super MACs and the UNSC fleet. unless they did get to earth in the middle of the covie invasion, and the covies would probably blow them up because they didn't respond with the proper codes. and if they did repond with the proper codes (sorry i keep going on about this) and were allowed to land, the MC would know what to do, just grab a shotgun and get to work. and the covies would also be killing the flood as well. surely a few marines/covies would get infected, but they would be killed, too. the flood would have no chance on earth, and anyway, i think it would make the story suck.

thank you for being smarter than the guy that started this topic is. the flood would make the story kind of lame

I completely agree with you and master chief 99. The flood were fun while they lasted but you can only blast off there arms so many times to keep them as pets it just gets very, very lame after that. But since there is at least one more ring I highly doubt that there are flood on it because why would the forunners build more than one ring to keep them on. Also, why would the covenent go to another ring with flood on it if they knew that an entire armada of their ships was killed or turned into monsters on Halo. Also by the looks of it the second halo looks as though it is some sort of power plant like thing. Maybe its a battle dreadnaught or weapons factory like the Starforge in SWKoTOR. I know that some of you might not have played this game at all but I know some of you have. Ok back on topic the covenent are probably really scared of the ring worlds now so they probably find out more about them before they go setting up camp there. And if by some way there is something dangerous on the ring its probably something besides the flood. Game developers dont usually repeat the storyline anyways. They atleast take out one of the aspects of the previous game and come up with new things. But you never know there could be something similer called THE WAVE or THE TSUNAMI. Hahahahahahahaha thats a laugh.

Read the new update it talks about the last video in the game just fill in the blanks where it says censorsed. It talks about Master Cheif running so it might be a huge showdown in Halo where Master Cheif sets it off or blows it up. But just put the hints and clues together and think about it.
