Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphors have two parts : form and interpretation; of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom being the briocoleus, the mason.

If H3PC is built on the GFWL system, we can consider it as good as dead. Really the only people we want porting this is Bungie or other 3rd party companies that are also competent.

It's pretty much guaranteed that H3PC will be built on GFWL. Cause remember, Microsoft owns the rights to making more Halo games. Halo 3 PC counts as another Halo game. So basically, Microsoft will be doing the ports.

GFWL isn't that bad though. I really fail to see why Halo 2 Vista was so terrible. What's the difference between Halo 1 PC and Halo 2 Vista? The only downside I can see is that Halo 2 Vista requires Windows Vista. But that shouldn't really be a big issue. Other than that, Halo 2 Vista is basically the same as Halo 1 PC.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Halo 2 vista is buggier, with laggy mouse, auto aim for any gamepad, and live failing to connect (a h2 only issue).
Halo 1 pc also has the headshot pistol.

Now that you mention it, Halo 2 Vista does crash sometimes while playing campaign and I lose all my progress. As for the laggy mouse, I don't notice it too much. I guess the mouse problems depends on your computer's hardware. And I've never had any issues connecting to Live.

But yeah, overall, Halo 2 Vista satisfies my needs. I just don't like the fact that it's system requirements are ridiculous considering the fact that the original xbox's hardware, which could barely run Win XP, could run Halo 2 perfectly. Now that newer and better computers are coming out, the system requirements thing isn't a big issue anymore. But for people who got Vista back in 2007-2008, Halo 2 Vista generally requirement a gaming computer or some kind of dedicated media computer. For me, it took a Dell XPS to run H2V smoothly.

Halo 2 Vista does not satisfy anyone.
Halo 3 + ODST PC with the same level of modding from Halo 1 CE would be satisfactory.

I'd pass on Halo 3 PC.

It hasn't got the same nostalgic qualities as Halo or Halo 2.

But it most likely will have all the features that everyone's wanted for awhile along with several new features.

i think halo 3 pc will be good we can make our own maps and not just forge them and we may be able to make our own weapons.

I don't think reliving the past is ALWAYS better. There's a reason why nobody plays PONG anymore. It's because all the remakes on cellphones are much better because they have newer features.

But for other games like the Legend Of Zelda, I too agree that Ocarina of Time was the best. However, for the Halo games, you already know my stance on that.

I want a game that was designed ground up for the PC. With competent modding capabilities.

whats more amazing about Halo 3's current capabilities, is the netcode, meaning all mods with ai, scripts etc, would sync.
we could share the enjoyment of cmt/zteams campaign mods XD

Haven't modders already done that with Halo 1 Custom Edition? I've seen a few videos of mods where there were AI on some maps and stuff and it sort of synced to a certain extent.

Oh, then those videos on Youtube must've been fake. But even though Halo 3 can sync AI, isn't that a bit complicated for modders to use in custom maps?

no,
Bungie has done the work for us, but, studying the spawning of ai should be easy,
there are a few Halo 3 Xbox 360 modders, they have mapped out alot of the Halo 3 map format, it should be easy for them to translate that for Halo 3 PC.
already figured out.

which youtube videos?

I was very curious when I saw this thread was being bumped recently, and I had to ask myself this question:

Are you still around, Bapa?

25 September 2007: Halo 3 was released for Xbox 360..

Tomorrow will be 25 November 2009...2 long years and 2 long months have passed...
why are they making us wait so long?
don't you think that we have waited enough, Bungie?

At least, let's hope to find H3PC on the shelves of the shops for Christmas...

NeverStop91: Well I sure would absolutely LOVE if there will be a Halo 3 PC, but there's no reason in talking to Bungie about this my friend, after Reach they will leave the Halo series alone, for a while at least. If you believe the news that is.
