Something smells fishy...

Go ask Microsoft, they own the halo franchise.

Oh yeah like Microsoft would care.

Why would a corporation listen to its devoted customers? It's just too much so the right thing to do.

Because Money > Customers.

Ignoring customers helps a lot.
Nintendo does it, MS does it, Sony does it, Everyone does it.

On the contrary, when I call Microsoft, I usually get really good customer support. I'm very satisfied with their technicians. Occasionally my call does get transferred, but usually the wait isn't longer than a few minutes and they only transfer me once. I think Microsoft does care about their customers. I <3 Microsoft.

On the other hand, when I called Sony Customer Support for one of my cameras, I was put on hold for like an hour and they couldn't fix my problem in the end.

Sorry but I must contradict your contradiction. I think Microsoft only pays attention to certain easily solvable issues presented by customers.

Microsoft may want customers to continue to buy its products and be interested in its company, but deep down making a profit is likely very high on Microsoft's priority list.

Honestly most companies want to make money. It's Capitalism after all. The pursuit of the dollar is a biproduct of Capitalism. If it gets out of hand then earning money becomes more important than quality. That's why corporations need to be regulated in some sort of fashion. I mean look at what's happening in the Gulf. That oil represents Capitalism at its worst. If there were stricter regulations on corporations catastrophes could be prevented in the future.

Microsoft may not cause a catastrophe like BP has but Microsoft needs to get its act together. It's not only Microsoft that is getting too powerful, money hungry, and a bit careless.

I believe strongly in Capitalism. But alas nothing is perfect and thus improvements need to made.

Microsoft usually pays attention to easy fixes, security holes in supported products, and stuff brought up by other big companies. Microsoft makes A LOT of money from corporate sales, volume licensing, education, and OEM licensing of Windows, Visual Studio, and Office. If they lose them to other companies, then they just lost a good chunk of their profit.

PC gaming is not a big market for them. It is why they do not support it as much.

Of course, MS isn't the only one not listening to a lot of their customers. Apple locks people in with macs and ipods. And they can cut off support at any time they feel like (remember g5 powermacs? You can't get 10.6 for them).

lol Apple customer service... what a joke...

"You're holding your iPhone wrong, it's your fault not ours"

Apple is more of a problem than Microsoft when it comes to money. People don't tell Apple what they want next, Apple tells you what you want next. Kind of reminds me of those Soviet Union jokes. But yeah, if you somehow get on Apple's badside, then they'll send their secret police force to kick down your door and arrest you. And no, that's not an exageration, that actually happened to the guy who found the iPhone 4G before it came out. If you even break a small part of Apple's EULA, they're done with you. But Microsoft for the most part isn't too concerned with people following their EULA.

Just FYI, GoW is now on Games On Demand.
H2PC might be coming there. Same with Halo PC.

Pass the controller bro

It's too late. If there is ever going to be a H3 PC, at least don't get epic hopes for it. It's going to be a H2v more or less, it doesn't matter. Halo 3 sucks anyway.

Yeah. Unless they skip Halo 3 and go for reach.
Also, microsoft is making fable 3 and a new rts by robot. H3PC or reach pc might come as well.
And to Moifugly, halo 3/reach pc might not have mod support and might be like h2v, your favorite game.

Who says the "mod" support needs to come from Microsuck?
Have you not seen how Halo 3 (so will reach) has been researched enough, that it will all be converted to work for PC.
h2v is your favorite game, not mine, my favorite game is Halo 3.

:3 I will die. :[

Reach and Halo 3 will never be on PC.Just play Halo PC or CE and you'll be satisfied.Cuz Halo 3's campaign is so damn boring, after one playthrough.Halo 3's multiplayer is down to 70,000 - 250,000 so it's not as much people as before. Now that people play f**king COD:MW2

Halo 1 and Halo 2 Vista are full of -Blam!-.

We want Halo 3+ODST/Reach for PC, because we all knew how good it was in it's normal console state, it was better than Halo 1 and Halo 2 Vista themselves, and a PC version will be enough to push the awesomeness higher.

We won't have to see -blam!- imitations of Halo 3 in Halo CE.
but since this is a PC version, we don't have to limit ourselves to one campaign, let a mapping team port Halo 1 and 2's campaign.

A combination of wants:
Halo 3
Halo 3 ODST
Halo Reach
Modding/Custom map making abilities as Halo CE.

All this for One PC game =D

I don't understand why everyone keeps bashing the Halo 2 Vista port. I thought it was a great port of Halo 2 personally.

#1 no lag in campaign
#2 Resolution change AKA 1080p <3
#3 Anti-Aliasing
#4 the netcode is WAAAAY better than that of Halo 1, you do not have to shoot ahead of people in order to hit them, you can shoot right at them. that's one part of why I didn't like Halo 1 PC.
#5 the game is ultra smooth which makes gameplay and multiplayer more of a fun experience.
#6 you can create MAPS just like Halo Custom Edition lol.

Now the only 3 things that I can see that would make people mad about this port is no support for EVERYTHING that you wanna mod, no support for Windows XP and support for the xbox 360 controller because of its autoaim basically. That is just 3 things that I can think of that is bad about the port. My game never crashes, it never lags and the multiplayer isn't a pile of crap that requires you to aim ahead of someone rather than shooting RIGHT AT THEM. Also the fact that the Halo 1 PC netcode made vehicles glitch like crazy if they caught air and flipped or something.

I would LOVE to have Halo 3 PC done the same way as Halo 2 PC personally. If they ever do the port.

EDIT: I'd also like to add that Games for Windows LIVE PC Gaming is FREE. Be glad you do not have to pay for Live Service to play :). You're actually very lucky

Halo PC/CE online is free too, so stfu.

Halo 3 is already miles better than Halo 2 Vista.

No mods.
No XP support.
Autoaim.
81E4.
No Matchmaking, No ranks.
Join lag

Mouse and Keyboard players will suffer, as game is not smooth.
FPS has to be either 30 or 60 to run smooth

Anti-aliasing, doesn't make the game look better

Resolution, not enough for 4:3, 16:9, 16:10 and any ones that are beyond.

Lag in campaign? WTF!

Lastly, we don't get to make maps like ones made for Halo CE, so -blam!- off you ignorant -blam!-.

of COURSE Halo 3 is miles better than Halo 2 VISTA lol but that wasn't what I was talking about.

I already stated no mods in my first post

what join lag?

my game is smooth on mouse and keyboard o.O

my FPS is uncapped so the game is smooth,

check your eyes because Anti-Aliasing SMOOTHS OUT ROUGH EDGES. It does make picture quality waaaay better.

Resolution, you can set custom resolutions by command line n00b

lag in campaign, I heard ALOT of people complaining about that somewhere o.O. cant remember.

and OF COURSE YOU DONT GET to make maps like Halo CE because of NO MODS like I said. but you still get to make maps

"Lastly, we don't get to make maps like ones made for Halo CE, so -blam!- off you ignorant -blam!-."

dropping the f bomb doesn't make you cool ;D

EDIT: oh yea one more thing to add. WIDESCREEN support without mods :D

yes I am really playing Halo 2 Vista. ^_^. the only hack I've seen is a multiple rainbow color changer. I haven't seen aimbots yet. I like the games maps and custom maps made for it. I'm just trying to say that I don't think the port is that bad :). That's all.
