That was one of the worst endings I have ever seen in my life.

I hope the makers of the Matrix have flaming gerbils attack them.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. I loved the first Matrix, but the two sequels left much to be desired. While they were great action flicks, they just weren't comparable to the original and all it's, well, awesomeness.

I actually really liked Reloaded, but Revolutions was the cow -blam!-.

Reloaded was a sweet action flick, but I still didn't think it had the same 'feel' as the original. It's like it's not the same directors, even though it was.

  • 06.28.2004 8:55 PM PDT

bah

It goes like this: Smith has that virus thing going for him, he's infected everyone in the Matrix with it. Everyone is Smith basically. So Neo is fighting Smith, and he's getting his ass handed to him. Smith had taked over the body of the Oracle, and he was spouting off crap about destiny and stuff, but Neo diodn't die when he was supposed to. Neo said it was his "choice" to live. Then, Smith tries turning Neo into a Smith like he did in Reloaded. Neo gives up, knowing that the machines will purge Smith. Also, Smith wa created to balance the equation. With Neo dead, Smith no longer had a purpose, so he went boom. A somewhat bad ending really. I would have liked to seen sometihng more creative from them. Their explanation was a little hard to swallow.

I would have preferred something really going BOOM ie machine city with a massive nuke/EMP or something.

I would have been happy with that ending. Yup.

The thing that bothered me the most was the conversation between the Oracle and the Architect. It pissed me off so badly I wanted to curb stomp the Wachoskis.

I loved The Matrix Revolutions what did you expect Neo and Trinity take down the machines and live happily everafter ofcourse not it wouldn't fit the film I liked the sequels I believe people set their hopes too high for the sequels to surpass the original which never was going to happen

I was really pissed that the majority of Revolutions didn't take place in the Matrix. That and the wussy klutz was hella annoying.

doesn't this count as religous discussion? Neo Represented Jesus, and Smith was sin. Neo died for all mankind.... etc. etc. etc. Forgiving mankinds sins.... etc. etc. etc.

I did not care for the ending.

After the first movie they had a lot of directions they could've taken, a great potential to make one of the best trilogy-storylines ever, but they totally f'cked up imo.

Btw: What the hell was the use of the "rave"-scene in Reloaded? some lame attempt to portray (sp?) the pleasures of man and to show what they are fighting for? I thought that was one of the crappiest parts of the movie.

all i could think of, after seeing the ending, was the movie independence day. <shudder> they really screwed the pooch with the ending of revolutions. hell, you could say the whole movie was garbage. and god almighty, how long did it take...errr, that one character, to die?!? (trying not to spoil for anyone who hasn't seen it) you should know who i'm talking about.

i was just relieved to see that they only bothered pulling beautiful people out of the matrix. can you imagine? a future with fat and ugly people?

Yeah, it just didn't 'feel' like a Matrix movie. The original had a certain style, and the two sequels didn't have it. I thought that the rave scene was terrible, and I wanted to gouge out my eyes with spoons. Also, the "burly brawl" where he fights 100 smiths was st00p1d to the max. Any scene that's done completely in CGI should never reach the screen, it just looks bad.

I thought Reloaded was great. But Revolutions wasnt. It was a good movie in itself, but as a sequel to The Matrix it just didnt cut the cheddar. The long battle scene that takes up like 45 minutes of the movie was pretty good. except that the guy in the APU had to keep screaming at the top of his lungs for the whole time.
