Because Bungie obviously wants you to buy an XBox; also, work on Halo was finished a long time ago, and Bungie has Halo 2 maintenance and Halo 3 to work on.

and to add to that list, do you have any idea the bandwidth and memory bungie is having to use just to keep track of those stats, it's unreal, I downloaded JUST MY STATS bia a queury spree and my file alone which includes 336 games (INCLUDING custom games) is approx. 5MB which isnt an ungodly amount but I don't play Halo 2 that much, and that many games is actually rather a minute amount compared to other gamers out there. and factor in just how many peole play Halo 2 online it really startsto add up

Also the PC version was rushed so the multiplayer is woefully lacking in features.

ranked games are a good way to play players at your own skill level, that is the one and only reason it was created. because while owning a group of people is fun because they aren't as good as you... getting owned by those ppl isn't. thus the ranking system usually alleiviates this problem because your playing against people of your own skill level..

HOWEVER what bungie did not intend was for people to obsess over the stats and even cheat just so they could get their stats higher... it's not supposed to be about the stats, just the gameplay but somehow it became that way....
