I was reading the good book for no reason and it was talking about a flood but the title was called "The Flood" and the first thing that poped in my head was those stupid little balls of puss and zombie like marines and covie but of course the were talking about a gaint wall of water (not some smart parasitic lifeform) killing all human life except the people in the ark or something like that did Bungie use some crap out of the Bible?

"I was reading the good book for no reason"

c'mon... there's plenty of good reasons to read the Bible. How about learning how to take advantage of Christ's atonement for starters.

To answer your question... I'm sure there's an intentional correlation between the flood in Noah's time and the flood found on Halo.

Also about the covenant... Covenants are made throughout 'the good book' between God and those who choose to follow him.

Keep in mind that The Covenant is a collection of alien races who subscribe to the same religion... towards which, humans happen to be an afront to.

Other than those two words "flood" and "covenant" I don't see much else.

"some crap out of the Bible?" ... probably not the most appropriate way to phrase your comments... but I do give you credit for reading through a few chapters of Genesis.

Me: "OMFG, Dude... wtf!"
AbolitionofMan: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to betray you."
Me: "That's the 4th time in this game alone!"
Chris: "Third, besides he had the flag I was trying to stop him, how was I supposed to know you were there."
Me: "I said, 'I got the Flag, don't shoot.'"
Chris: "Well those Wraith shots take a while to reach you."
Me: "You were right next to me, I had killed him and a minute passed before you decided to shoot."
Chris: "Hahahahaha, yeah... that was great."

There is a connection... Bungie LOVES useing ancient myths, references to the bible etc. If you read you will see subtle connections.... like the Flood, and only God being able to stop the Flood, who is God in Halo? The Forerruner, they were able to contain it, and possibly unleash it... the Covenant and the Flood have a history... now, what that is we don't know, but after H2, we may knoe more about the connection. Do not be quick to say... it's just a coicedence...with Bungie... there is no such thing.

This is what I picked up, Noah prepared himself and saved animals from all over the world by building an arch, what if MC is Noah and instead of building an arch to combat water he takes up arms to combat a lifeform. Also the flood could be called the flood as thats how fast they spread.
This is more on the flood, I think it is a virus and to starve it you have to release it, the index contains the DNA of the flood which can be transmitted via Halo all over the universe killing everything untill it finaly starves. I say this as the Library can be a place to store DNA and the monitor always talks about life growing instead of dieing which could be because of more flood.

Unless you are one of the bungie writers you have no damn idea what they were thinking when they made this -blam!- up so you have no business telling people they are not related or they are its all just speculation.
