Ok guys heres a problem im going to throw at you. i have had halo pc for about a year to a year and a half now. I can usually play it on 800x600 with my vid card on max settings for everything with no lag on a ok server. My cd is pretty scratched up and im wondering if it could be that or my internet. A couple of weeks ago Comcast Upgraded their bandwidth to 4mb. After that i started this lagging problem. Now i have to put my video card on 640x480 with everything on either low or none. please help me!!!!!! my spex are listed below

It won't be the CD because it still runs at the same speed (if it runs at all) whether scratched or not.

make sure you are not downloading any thing wile you are playing, and search for a server by ping, the lower the number, the better the game play.

it's definately not the CD, Halo doesn't use the CD for anything but startup. You can even take the disk out once you have the program started.

1. The cd doesn't really run the game much anyway, it wouldn't be that.
2. Call Comcast and ask if this expansion would cause higher pings.
3. Google 'whats my ping' and test it. Tell us the results.
4. Get anti-spyware programs and clean your system, spyware=mega net and program lag
