lmao lmao. That sounds pretty ridiculous. I'm not gonna explain it because the question is pretty stupid. They will not. ok just leave it at that and because the flood can't even get off the ring without a spaceship which they have none.

What's it matter Earth is gonna get destroyed by the covanant most likely. If it doesn't get destroyed by the covanent, I don't think the Flood will come unless someone would bring them there (like the getteysburg???). I don't know and no one else who isn't a bungie employee doesn't know either but I find it extremely unlikely.

man its stupid. the flood will never get to earth. and if they did there would be no way to stop them except for blowin earth up like MC did halo. and thats not gonna happen so the flood will be in the game just not on earth. maybe MC gets some of the flood and releases them on the covonant home worlds. thatd be cool.

does no one agree that MC might release the flood on the covonant home worlds?

There is absolutely no way the Flood would make it to earth, the only way would be if they snuck on to a Covenant ship, which is impossible because Halo blew up while the Covenants were already airborn which the Flood had no idea that it would have blown up so they wouldn't have tried to get on a Covenant ship anyway. In my opinion to another persons post, Earth wouldn't be destroyed thats why the Master Chief is there to save it.

How does anyone even KNOW that they can't come to earth. What if some were kept on the LongSword that MC escaped from Halo on? So who really knows?

Actualy if you think about the monitor he took the index and placed it in a holding place in his "body". What if he was trying to protect the flood after all he did say that he was glad to see some of the flood survive (library).SO if he wanted to save some flood "SPORES" he could have put them in the same place as the index was. After all The monitor did fly away at the end on legendary so anything could happen.

Even though MC is on earth that doesn't mean it's gonna get saved. If you watch the E3 demo they (MC and Cortana) are trying to escape after losing the phantoms. The odds that earth will survive are slim to none because of the helljumping elites and the covanent war machine(who can make an army of 100 ships or more appear in an hour or so?). I'm sure that earth will be destroyed and only the outer colonies for the humans remain, that's why we are taking the fight to the covanent (their homeworld). No one even knows the plot of H2 but I'm pretty positive that earth will die, but no one knows whats going to happen so i could be right or wrong, you could be right or wrong. This kinda stuff makes me mad because no one knows a thing!

Seems very, very likely. First, because they were probably on the Ascendant Justice. Whether they were on the Longsword or from Halo when the Ascendant Justice left the first time (possible since we have no idea where the Ascendant Justice was before the blast on the ring). And if it was on the Ascendant Justice, then it probably got on the Gettysburg. And from what we've seen from Dietz novel The Flood and the level 343 Guilty Spark, the flood have a very good knack for hiding and popping out when you least suspect it. What's keeping them from simply being stowaways on either ship (Besides, as time progresses, the flood get smarter and seem to gain intelligent. Maybe by now they can rationalize and are "stalking their pray, waiting for it to get to Earth or somewhere else where there are lots of hosts...Before you blast that, remember that the flood do get smarter as time goes on. The game showed us that much.)

Now, what was I saying...Oh, yeah!

The other reason I think the Flood will be on Earth is because of it's exiting story value. Bungie said the game would be full of twists and jaw dropping exiting stuff. What could be more terrible/cool/exciting to see than the flood on Earth. Besides, it's a lot more pulse throbbing than the alternative: fighting the flood on another Halo while Earth is safe. That's pretty mudune, especially compared to the flood on Earth and your fighting a losing battle just up until the end. And besides, how are you going to fight the flood on another Halo? All that you'd have is infection form to fry, since I doubt neither humans or Covenant would be stupid enough to release that again (unless there is a new speices for infecting on another Halo. That would be interesting, too.)

If Earth is glassed and destroyed, the Human race is dead. If you read the books, you'd know that Earth is the last planet the Humans own (I'm about 95% sure). All of the other Outer and Inner Colonies have been glassed.

So if Earth is destroyed, Humans will be extinct. I don't think that will happen...

Besides, he's taking the fight to them. I don't care how tough or strong the MC is...there is NO WAY he's gonna go to the Covenant home world and take them on alone...it just won't happen.

So it would be -blam!- to have the humans in dire peril? Besides, in good games, the nicest things don't happen to the characters. You know, terrible horrible things like that usually happen in good games and stories. It comes with the epic title. And still, if you'll remember from The Flood, the humans do a very nice job of surviving them. And they would've survived had it not been for McKay. So a floodish invasion of Earth would be very possible to survive. Besides, we still have to Core world to fall back on if neccessary. You know, the things we have left in out solar system, like Mars. And failing that, Halo is looking like a mighty pleasant place to shelter ourselves.

The Covenant did bypass alot of colonies in order to get to Reach, so I would assume it's possible with Earth as well.

Can someone who has the books correct this person please. I'm sure earth isn't the last planet the humans own. MC isn't going to go and kill all of the covanent on their homeworld, that would be suicide. MC is going to try and capture a prophet or something else that is valued by the covanent. He is doing this because the humans need a peace treaty really bad. I can kinda see the flood infecting the covanent homeworld more than earth just because earth is surrounded by the covanent.

the MC will be and I quote "taking the fight to the Covenent". read Frankies updates. Frankie said that you will fight on earth, a new ringworld, and then take the fight to the covenent - it might just be me but if earth just got glassed and the majority of humanity wiped out I can't see the MC taking on the covenent homeworld.

You are an idiot. That ship blew up on an attack run headed towards the Ascendant Justice in First Strike. That theory is now proven wrong.

As for the Flod getting back to Earth. Don't count on it, but count on them being on the new halo ring we get to play on in Halo 2.

Taking the fight to the Covenant does not neccessarily mean that you got to the Covenant Homeworld. Maybe something like the Unyielding Hirio...something-or-other... And besides, they said that a long time ago. Sometimes plans change. We won't know till the game comes out.

Earth is not our last p[lanet. We have the entire Sol system(you live in it, learn it well), and there are dozens of colonies the Covenant bypassed just to get to Reach. plus I am pretty usre there are plenty of other systems we still own besides those as well. READ the books carefully people, having to correct stupidity is getting annoying.

Dont forget the longsword and actually my friend the longsword did not go boom. That was the pelican. The editor did a poor job on first strike. You are not a very good reader other wise you would know this.

Slowly calms down....well i won't call them fricking retards if they never read the books, however there have been dozens of people, mainly from this forum, that have read them, and are fricking retards because they either

A.) haven't finished the book before they ask questions or
B.) They haven't bothered reading and soaking up all the details that are the answers to their stupid questions.

That's why I begin to break.
