I know what you'll say when you read this: "Who cares?". But it is just something I noticed while playing Halo 2 on both the PC and the Xbox.

On the mission "Cairo Station", when you first leave the safety of the Cairo to enter space and fight the flight Elites, you have to get to another door. Next to that door is an alarm, which is making a noise. But, you cannot hear anything in space - so how can you hear the alarm?

Possible answer:

It is the Cairo Station doing this - it has an atmosphere around it, however unstable for human life. It also has artificial gravity, hence you fall to the ground when you jump, rather than floating off into space.

When replying to threads on the forum, I will end my response with a number in either positive or negative based on how relevant/Interesting/informative the thread is. If you hit +25 youre awesome if you hit -10 you've been reported.

or...no one cares, its a game get over it.

Well Enough Alone...

~"The people who play Bungie games tend to sense that there's something behind the games that's attractive to them. Then they become fans of the games. And then they become rabid fans. And then they become employees of Bungie."(Life story) -Marty

You make Bungie physicists cry with shame. lol And Marty! How dare you!.

Just a sound glitch. Someone put some sound scenery in there and forgot it was supposed to be in space.

Yes, you can hear things like the mac gun loading, you can hear the Elite jump packs, explosions, gunfire, the whole shebang. It's just because without these, that small section would be boring as hell.

Go Chief!
OK.

Hello! Star Wars FTW. Also, join the MAW group. Please?

Hm. Interesting point, I never thought about this. I suppose your right though, however unrealistic it would be boring without sound.
