Ok, I hope this hasn't been posted before, so as not to be repetitive, but how long do you guys averagely get online every day? I mean, you must at least once a day because there are posts regularly occuring from you guys here, and plenty of locked threads all over the place. How do you schedule your free time, and the time you get on and moderate?

I get on at work, and usually moderate between tasks or right after lunch.

So who handles the European side of things?

I believe MakaVeli gets on in European mornings (though he's in America), and goweb is British, so he's the real European mod. Reiginko is Australian, so he can also deal with some European hours.

And of course, the American mods can get on in their morning to deal with the European afternoons.

And that poor bastard is still going to school. I remember when I was going to college (well, the British call it university), I never had time to go online. But I was also going to college full time and working full time, so I didn't have time for anything.

That is why I think the next mod (whenever there is a next mod), should probably be from Europe, just to give goweb a chance to do some school work. Of course, he is still doing a good job here, I'm just saying he has a lot on his plate.

It's not really work that takes up my time (it probably should but, hey, I'm a fresher) - it's more the other activities available.

Yeah never really see him on here, or any mods for that matter during daytime here.

Yeah, who really wants to deal with 800,000 Momes anyway, when you could do so many more fun things. Like making a kite, or going to the beach.

or going to the beach.

...party

Oh, so you're like the people I went to school with. Don't work and party all of the time. Do you then complain about not being able to complete homework on time?

That is what the majority of my fellow classmates did. I would be up at 4 AM to be in work by 5, then I would leave work to go to school just in time to make it to my first class, then I would leave school and go back to work. After work, I would eat dinner, do homework, and then go to sleep (I did that for 4 years!). Then my classmates would have the audacity to say they "didn't have time" to study/do homework. Of course, I was better for it because I ended up with a GPA over 3.8 when the majority of my classmates were confused as all hell.

[/off topic rant]

Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest.

I wouldn't say party, as such. More work for the Students' Union.

But I don't complain about not having time to do homework, mainly because we don't get homework and I blame myself for any last-minute pieces of coursework.

But British universities are different to American colleges. For one, the first year contributes nothing to the final score. And there is much more of an emphasis on non-academic activities. Leisure is just as important as work.

Really? That's pretty sweet. You guys also get a ton of vacation once you are in the working field (compared to us). You get an average of 28 days vacation, where we only get 13 (source).

Ah, but Goweb, we need to pass the first year with 40% in all your modules just to get INTO the second year... I had to retake a damn Statistics for Economics module last year, which really ticked me off.

Which uni you at mate? I'm a committee member of the Southapton University Computer Gaming [aka Halo 2] Society; you got anything similar set up?

I'm with Mrs. Stosh up there, having more than one job to go to doesn't leave much time to moderate.

Surrey. And we do, but I'm not a member.

Yeah.

I mean, I just ate some chicken and sweetcorn in a white wine sauce.
