another thing that most people have to do when trying to run their own server is change the ports on your own Halo profile, (that is if you are trying to play on it and it is on the same computer that you are hosting the server on) try going into settings, network settings and changing Client port to 2300 and server port to 2305

It's also really i'mportant that you have a high speed internet service, people tend to have major problems when trying to run a server on connections like dsl, 56k, and cable.... if you can get a T1 it'd make things easier

Well my friend that's hosting has DSL, so that shouldnt be too much of prob. The only problem is we cant seem to get the server to run or show up on the gamespy list or ASE (All seeing eye). I've tried to find it on my own computer, but it never shows up. Any help setting the server up would be great. Maybe someone willing to give the commands they use to setup their own.

This might help also, we are using this

http://halo2.filefront.com/file/Halo_Server_Pack_Bundle;37868

maybe someone is famialir with it.
