I have halo ce and recently upgraded? to windows vista. When I installed halo I get an error message sayingmy system does not have enough system ram, and displays machine info as 3100Mhz, 0MB, 512M nVidia. If I continue anyway the game runs but I have issues with my frames per second.
My computer has plenty of power :
Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3110 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
Memory: 4094MB RAM
Hard Drive: 750 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB
MONITOR: DELL 1703
When I edit my video settings in halo to 1280x1024 75Hz no vsync - I get refresh rates which range from 20 to 1000, which makes it very hard to shoot someone. On my other pc which is 5 years old has a ati0800pro video card I can maintain consistent fps of 130.
I believe the problem is that halo doesn't recognize my system memory so it is running in my video memory. Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions on a fix? Your help is appreciated
