Why did Bungie.net ban olapstats from downloading XML games? Its the best site for stats, I think. Its gone from 100 members to over a 1000 in two weeks. Who's jealous?

My point is that olapstats is a good site and I like options when I view my games. Why would Bungie allow other sites to run but not this one?

Dood? what are you talking about? We are not comparing our site to Bungie.net...Bungie.net does NOT provide good analysis tools for your stats...OlapStats.com does...that's the whole point...

I do agree this is a bit of a fix that Bungie has put us in to. I talked with Cigma last night about this topic extensively then immediately proceeded with him to take out our anger in team training and team slayer games.

That aside, a formal letter will be written to Bungie in hopes to get our IP un-banned. As a solution it might be wise to monitor how much downloads for each person's games we do so we don't use up a ton of Bungie's bandwidth.

This of course would be slower backloging for new and old members. Anyway, solutions are being tried and the first step is to get the Olapstats.com IP un-banned.

We'll keep you all updated and thank you very much for your support through this difficult time.

I remember after first seeing olap stats, trying to find anything else like it on the web and unless i wanted to give some money through paypal i was out of luck. The olap site has been my go to site since i first saw it. I just hope something can be worked out. Im especially hoping this wasnt done because of peoples ego's. Just trying to remind everyone that we are all on the same team. We all have the main objective to enjoy this game to its fullest.

I also use olapstats.com and would like to see Bungie unban it. I can understand Bungie's position of a single site or IP taking up too much bandwidth but I would like to see a compromise worked out.

Well, it seems Halostatsonline has left us. What a shame. Their stat keeping was far, far better than Bungie's.

Thanks for informing us by bumping a five month old post. Really, your words have changed my life.
