i downloaded a map called apocalypsehugeassV2, its a compressed folder, what do i do now?

Uncompress it, with something like winzip, winrar, zipgenius, or online like zamzar.

If it's a zip file, just double click it and extract the map into C:\Program FIles\Halo Custom Edition\maps. If if it's a RAR, d/l IZArc, which I find to be best one (it's free and has no annoying ads after your trial expires), then open it and extract it to the same file.

another way is to go to the compressed file, so it shows the files. bring up another window to ur halo CE maps and drag and drop the map file from the compressed file into the halo ce file. i find it easier than extracting and stuff

That's the same thing as extracting. If it's a zip file windows can natively open it like the guy above you said.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Windows making a zip file look like a folder just makes things more confusing :(
