No company that uses terms like, head-to-head, man-on-man, action-sack, and mancannon is homophobic.
I supposed that teabagging is.... what, a representation of a new form of colonoscopy?

What is the difference between Members, Forum Ninjas, and Community Guys? Does it just depend on how many times you post in a forum?

  • 03.12.2005 4:25 PM PDT

Members are your common poster.

Community Guy (singular) is just Sketch's custom title (since he's an employee).

Forum Ninjas are brilliant guys who can beat you down if you step out of line.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

No, and I would bet money that there will never, EVER be a custom title based on the amount of posts one has.

I would like it if certain members could earn a spammer tag.
A "Me am dumberest" tag would work great as well.

That would only increase their ego. It's still a tag that's out of the ordinary so more people would end up trying to get a dunce tag attached to their name.

I love living in a world where the majority of the populations existence is so pointless and empty, that just to be anything at all, they strive to be bottom of the barrel.

I don't think we want our members trying to be the bottom of the barrel. Kind of embarrassing to have those kinds of people on bungie.net.

Of course we don't want the forum members trying to be bottom barrel. Regardless of what we want, they seem to strive for it anyways. Try as we might to try and encourage them to read rules, not post the same crap every five seconds in a forum it doesn't belong in the first place, or even get them to go about using the english language half way correctly, they have no comprehension that what they are doing makes them looks like idiots. And if they do, they relish the attention it gets them. It is a sort of sad, and discourageing to watch the next generation turning out like this. I am just trying to understand it at this point because there really is not any thing that can actually be done.

Sounds right to me. WE are the community. If some one is a member of the same community as us, they are members of OUR community. Where is the confusion here?

Being a part of the community does not invoke ownership. It is Bungie's community, and always will be. We are but [mostly happy] guests here.

That is an interesting take on it. Though I think you are wrong. I guess we will agree to disagree.

Read under your name. It says member. We are members of the community. Just like saying our school or our work. Frank is right.

Or they could create that custom title, give it to those that earn it, and restrict them to like a "special" forum for "special" people.

Yes, impurity, you're very special. Just like your mum has always said to you. As for what she said to me, well... that's strictly between her, me and the milkman.

Reiginko, ooo low! I'd expect better from a Mod!

How can you expect better? That is the absolute best it can get. Any post that starts off looking like a compliment, then goes all 1992 on the hapless victim and pulls a joke about the persons mom out of nowhere deserves a standing ovation.

Yes I gave it one. While I was standing I decided to go get a sandwich. True story. Except for the part where I stood, clapped and got a sandwich. That was artistic liscense.

But it's a MOD, don't destroy my innocent naive dreams of mods being amazing.

Don't worry, when the comet is about to collide with earth and the mods all don their brightly colored tights and devise a way to apply 12th century rope bridge building technology to divert its course and send it spiraling into the sun... they will redeem themselves. Once they do that, and then take their family oriented puppet show about careing for injured wetland creatures on the road that is.
