true but see the protoss were the ones you wanted to win. They served the higher purpose. Covenant are evil.

Another paralell both halo and starcraft are way ahead of their time and above their feild.

Well, I have to disagree with you there. Both the Protoss and the Covenant have their angels and demons. Look at characters like Tassadar and the Arbiter, or the Prophets and the High Council. Each of them maintain the same sort of character (Tassadar/Arbiter being the character who's consciance abides them to different goals) (Prophets/High Council being that they both are very much headstrong, the leaders of their kind, and bent on the elimination of any sentient life to stand in the way of their "Higher Purpose". Both the Covenant and the Protoss serve(d) that "purpose" we're talking about, but if by "Higher Purpose" you mean like the salvation of all sentient life as Tassadar and Zeratul did, then yeah, I suppose the Protoss look like the good guys when stood up against the Covenant, but like I said, Tassadar/Arbiter.

However in the grander scheme, yeah, I think both games are very much alike, but Halo deals with a much less complicated scenario, respectfully. For instance, while the Halo novels draw on it, human kind is very scattered and divided by greed, war, and bloodlust, in the StarCraft universe, while the Halo universe gives us the idea that humanity is united.

... and yeah, once I heard of the "Gravemind"... well, ::cough:: LAWSUIT ::cough:: OVERMIND ::cough:: I mean they practically serve the same purpose, "...uniting our flesh..." as I think both sides summarize... Hell, they even sound alike, but damn, when I saw his voice actor playing the Gravemind, I was stunned. I'm surprised blood wasn't trickling out of his mouth.
