Hey everybody, what's up. I am sure most of, if not all of you, have seen the Multiplayer Halo 2 E3 2004 footage. As you may or may not know, the damage from falling too far after a high jump was turned off at E3. I was wondering what you guys think of this. Maybe if we beg Bungie enough, and if any of us actually want it, they can add a multiplayer feature that allows one to turn off jumping/falling damage, that is if they haven't already. So, what do you guys think? Here is a link to a page with some videos if you don't know what I am talking about. They're at the very bottom of the page.

Dont turn it off, I can think of multiple times when I have either worked someone over on a high level, and then they escaped from me before death but because they had a misstep they fell of an edge and I still get the kill. And think about how cheap it would be because people would just jump of a ledge to escape oncoming fire....it would lessen the skill of the game I think.

i think it would be funner that way in multiplayer especially with the whorthog jumping and stuff, or they could just give you the option of turning it off or on.

SKILL OF THE GAME?!!!?CHEAP!!?? PLEEEEEZZE! THATS JUST CRAP! HAVE THE OPTION OF Turning it on or off. For gamers who aren't getting kills as fast as you are Sketch. let that be an option. I think getting away from on comng fire is actually a GREAT thing to Have in HALO2. If they do it of course.

why would you want that kind of unrealistic physics in the game.........OH and by the way, when you fall there is a way to minimize or have no damage from falling at all....

ITS CALLED CROUCHING before you hit the ground....perfect timing will reduce or even eliminate damage from falling.......yes it requires skill, but why should bungie change the game like that or even make a stupid option just so horrible players can have their stupid "failsafes" for if they fall off a cliff they wont die......

personally it wont really matter, i kill people before they hit the ground when they try to commit suicide......deal with falling and getting hurt, its part of the game

Yo Nightshade, calm down, you misunderstood me. I said "maybe they can add a multiplayer feature that allows one to turn off jumping/falling damage". That means that the default wouldn't be no falling damage, we would just have an option to eliminate it. Options are optional which means you can either choose to have it or not to have it. I think that'd be pretty sweet to jump off of a 50 foot cliff chasing after some guy and not take any damage. Talk about an adrenaline rush. That'd be a cool thing to toggle on/off like...let's say, the gravity level.
